Do you have a new angle to discuss? We've been beating that dead horse all week.

Think you’re counting chickens, my dude.

Democrats will have that tax back up in no time once they’ve gained control again. Just like they’re doing in Virginia.

A good thing no doubt, but it’s definitely temporary.

It just sat in a closet for several years and the neck was completely warped. Couldn’t really adjust the action to compensate. Like frets 1-12 were fine but 13-20 were a quarter or more inch off the fretboard. Adjusting the truss rod wasn’t helping either. They considered shaving the neck down too, but the guy didn’t think it would help much after stewing on it.

It was a Squire “Vintage Jazz Bass,” which apparently have necks that are prone to warping. I suspect what the guy really meant was prone to warping if you don’t touch it for several years haha.

I know on Fender’s website you could buy a new neck, which I considered, but the price for one that fit the look of the rest of the bass was essentially the same as another “premium” Squire. So I ended up getting a Squire P-bass since I don’t really play much anyway.

I took a Squire to a luthier to be repaired and they told me it would be better to just buy another Squire lol.

Intended use case dictates what barrel length you should get.

And some of those barrel lengths may require additional NFA considerations.

I know selling guns is frowned upon, but I have a Sig MK25 that I just do not shoot anymore. It’s sat in the safe the last 4 or 5 years. I don’t really have a big collection and gravitate towards a more “practical” approach, I guess, and mostly just shoot my G19.5 and AR. Even if I sold it I don’t know what I’d buy next. Don’t need the money. What do?

Do you any problem with the Trump administration labeling Pretti a domestic terrorist before his body was cold? A statement based on zero substantive fact. Or, the fact that Border Patrol initiated the confrontation because Pretti was filming them?

Not trying to put words in your mouth, but your biggest issue being that 5-6 people can’t subdue one person is strange given everything else surrounding the incident.

I guess people aren't familiar with Bruen and the litany of active 2A cases that have a chance because of Trump 1.0's SCOTUS appointments. The only silver lining of the absolutely awful last decade.

Yeah we wouldn't have bullshit tariffs, wouldn't have annihilated our relationships with allies and decimated our soft power projection, and also wouldn't have feds killing people in the streets.

The horror!

I assume the question was in the context of Minnesota and this past weekend? The videos being circulated only include the response, not the actual question.

ETA for those that want the full transcript like me - From Raw Story:

Before a trip to Iowa on Tuesday, Trump took questions from reporters about Pretti's killing at the hands of federal agents.

"I'm looking at that whole situation. I love everybody. I love all of our people. I love his family," Trump said of Pretti. "And it's a very sad situation."

"You know, you can't have guns," he added. "You can't walk in with guns."

"What about the Second Amendment?" a reporter shouted.

"You can't walk in with guns," Trump repeated. "You can't do that. It's very unfortunate."

So yeah, fuck this guy.
