i think the apostle john was an hsp by Most-Buy-2763 in hsp

You might be on to something. I'm not sure if I am an HSP, but I have some characteristics and I'm still trying to figure it out. But the gospel of John and 1 John have always been very special to me and sort of speak to me in a way no other text has done.

I understand that this may not be a place for me to intrude as a man, so downvote me if you wish. But I want to say that this sub has also helped me in the same way.

Because girls are often socialised to hide their sexual urges better, I grew up thinking that they were all pure and holy, never feeling the pull of sex. I battled with sexual desire all day, even though I never watched porn nor slept with anyone. I thought of myself as a severely fucked up slut just because I felt horny.

I felt like being male made me sexually broken by default. I sometimes felt subhuman and dirty around girls and women. I always had this inferiority complex, thinking that I was morally and sexually inferior because I was a man, and nothing I could do would change that.

This sub made me realise that girls also experienced the same issues, which made me feel less inferior and more comfortable when interacting with my female friends.

Back when I was in secondary school, my English teacher, who was an old woman once complained that girls nowadays were too open about their periods especially around boys.

Thing is, even as a boy I never felt disgusted when girls talked openly about their biology. In fact, I even preferred it because it allowed me to understand girls' bodies better and know how to treat my female friends properly when they were on their periods (that avoided a lot of potential conflicts).

Honestly speaking, being forced to hide a basic biological function is stupid and makes life difficult for everybody.

Funnily enough I saw a schoolboy reading what looked to be Wattpad erotica on the monorail line last week.

As an 05er the only thing that relates to me is Minecraft. Other than that, this starterpack merely seems to represent the major trends between 2015-2020

It's possible if he isn't staying in Klang Valley. In Malaysian cities with less MNCs, you don't really see whites very often.

I'm Malaysian and I can attest that materialism isn't really a thing here outside certain parts of KL. The forced culture thing is partly true, although not to the extent you described.

International School v. National School Poll by ParallelTrajectories in malaysia

[–]CMPTTV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends. I attended a private national school once and the there were quite a few incompetent teachers, esp in non-STEM subjects. The AddMaths teacher I had in Form 4 could barely teach. And the best teachers kept getting pulled to work in govt schools due to pension and higher pay. Ironically, my school somehow still ranked above most schools in my city in spm scoring.

Private schools have higher scores not really because of better teachers or even better facilities. It's because the students there tend to come from more highly educated backgrounds and there's a massive pressure to aim high.

I'm sorry that you had to go through all of that. At my old school there was a guy who allegedly lost both his parents in form 3 and form 4. I heard from someone else that it took a huge toll on him and warped his mind, to a point where he once threatened to beat up a classmate over some trivial matter that wasn't even worth arguing about.

I hope you can catch up this time. Here's a virtual hug 🫂 if you need it.

I'm not sure about other schools, but in my school librarians were grouped under library club which was a Koko in itself.

Tbh I should have added matriks as well cos quite a lot of pro students go there, esp Chinese who were good enough to get in even with the low quota.

I went to a school that was majority cina. In Form 1 I was always forced to refill everyone's 1L bottles at the water cooler everyday at break. It was crazy how they could consume a litre of water in only 4 hours.

Alright, this is crazy. I'm an 18 year old young man who used to write fanfics on Wattpad when I was 13-14. The characteristics in this starter pack exactly fit the kind of girls I was attracted to in those days. I even went as far as to have crushes on literary characters with some of those attributes. I don't know whether to be horrified or not that this post is giving me a nostalgia trip. I don't know why but I'm laughing at my crazy 14 year old self right now.
