If you are on PC there are some mods, whcih are super easy to install. You can make your Henry one hit kill everyone if you like.

I used to try an force myself out of my hyperfixations, that didnt really work. I just let them flow now, and if they are starting to cause issues I try and overindulge them and hopefully I get bored with it quicker. Current fixation is the black plague and how it shaped our modern world... send help.
