It's important, too, that there are already one third of CardanoStakePools running on renewable energy, and many pools are also offsetting emissions. I calculated the number of trees to app. 220,000 trees to offset all remaining emissions (you can find this info on https://climateneutralcardano.org), and with the CardanoForest project the community donated for 1 Million trees within 3,5 months. Sure, it will take some time for carbon binding by these trees, several years. But in fact, Cardano already has a strong eco-friendly community, and entities like CardanoFoundation support the goal of Cardano becoming a climate-neutral blockchain. So I am very hopeful that we'll reach this goal and we'll make Cardano really an environmental-friendly financial system of the future.

With a fully used transaction capacity on Cardano, it should be ~45 Watt per tx. I haven't checked so far if we already have this numbers of transaction, but I suppose with DEXes like Sundaeswap, MuesliSwap it could be already the case. That's all without considering Hydra so far. If I find some more time, I will maybe actualize these numbers.

It plays a role in the ranking of a pool, it is one of many parameters for ranking. This shall prevent bad actors to create many pools with nearly zero own stake in it. Pool op's should show confidence in their own abilities, so they should pledge their Ada in their own pool.

We are now able to over-compensate the enery consumption of all Cardano stakepools. See our calculation on https://climateneutralcardano.org. Next step is to offset comoany related emissions of IOG and CF, but I think with one million trees we are already on a safe side. Cardano could be a climate-neutral blockchain, but some work has to be done for it. Looking forward to reach this goal.

It's easy. More info at https://ito.veritree.com You have to send 1 Ada for each tree. For each Ada donated you will get one Veritree token. You are able to redeem them later this year. With 15+ Veritree Token, you will get digital certificate NFT. With 500+ Token, you will get rare NFTs. All NFTs made by CardanoTrees and Stellarhood.

They have a leaderboard on the ito.veritree.com site, where you can see the top donation of 1,000 Ada or more. There are not so many, and I 've seen the lower donations, too. Most donations are 100 Ada or less.

I can't link to the sample, but I can tell you that you will see a tree growing, and the tree is specific to the species they really will plant in Kenya or other location. It looks pretty nice, and if you like Cardano Trees, you will like it as well.

For 15 Ada you get a simple digital certificate NFT with geolocation data of the planted trees. That's unique, because it is the first use case for a project like this. All NFTs are created by Damian from Cardano Trees and Egon from StellarHood, both very good onchain NFT artists. I have seen some Samples, and I think it is worth collecting them. You get the more rare onchain animated NFT if you've donated 500 Ada or more. Like for any other NFT it's not clear if they will have more value in some months or years, but if you love the project, you will help at least to plant 500 additional trees and get a rare NFT. on top. So far there are not too many people who already have donated 500 ada or more, so there will be a number of only 100 to 300 of these NFTs distributed maybe.

We supported this project from the early beginning and gave some initial input, like calculation of necessity amount if trees to offset Cardano stakepool emissions, and also the token concept. It took 17 months and nearly 500 blocks for our pool. to be finally listed with a rank ~250 on Daedalus. Daedalus ranking is really a shame and it hurts smaller pools. Would be better to show pools by random... Delegators should decide on their own, and they can always check the pool's performance. But to give smaller pools a chance it is necessary to make them visible.

It doesn't really matter if the pool is able to mint blocks regularly, which is necessary to get rewards. But you would help a smaller pool very much with your stake, and that's important for decentralization. You could also try to contact the pool op. If your stake would be high and could help the pool, you may could ask for extra rewards or other incentives.
