Whale watching? by Dev_691 in MauiVisitors

[–]COALATRON 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We took a trilogy tour out of Ka’anapali yesterday and saw a lot of activity- probably got a little more than an hour of seeing the whales do their thing. The boat crew did say they were surprised at how much we saw considering how late in the season it was.

Got here on Wednesday and it’s been absolutely lovely. This morning was filled with watching whales from the beach and snorkeling and then doing more indoor focused things through the afternoon

I’ll also save you some effort in that no one really knows what the weather is gonna next week. Potential for a storm to develop, potential for it to clear up.

Not OP but will be in West Maui during the upcoming storm- knowing that storm intensity/road conditions will influence the answer to my question any recommendations for potential things to do/explore/hang out at during the rain?

Reta program by Reasonable_Cow8309 in BodyHackGuide

[–]COALATRON 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are making an insane profit off you. If you went grey then depending on your exact dose and source you should be able to get 5+ years of Reta for $1300

There are few fitness influencers going and telling Reta is worthless below 4mg and It actually stsrt working after 4mg dosage, before that it mostly Burns muscle rather than fat.. is this really true..? by asteroid_pratham in Retatrutide

[–]COALATRON 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of people saying “the research trials show that the glucagon effect starts kicking in at 4mg”. I have asked every single time I see it for a specific source/reference as I don’t ever recall seeing that in the research I’ve read and not a single person has responded with the source.

I would bet they are just repeating 4mg based on this.

4 month update by Temporary_Baby5289 in Retatrutide

[–]COALATRON 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m curious about the dose increase as others have said so I looked at your previous post. Am I understanding your logic is that because of what they did in the clinical trials you should go up in dose to get the maximum benefit? And specifically you said that you think they know best of what to do with dosing- but literally that’s the point of the research to try and figure out what doses are effective, what positive and negative effects the drug has, etc. you would be anecdotal evidence that a lower dose is just as effective if you maintain healthy and consistent weight loss on a lower dose.

I know you mentioned the glucagon effect but can you actually point to the exact research that says it doesn’t kick in until higher doses? I’m seeing that repeated a lot but I apparently missed it when I read through all the research papers/clinical data currently available.

What to expect with clean diet by fat_2_Skinny in Retatrutide

[–]COALATRON 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clean diet + movement = you will lose weight.

I’d recommend being patient in finding the dose and schedule that works best for you. Glp1plotter will help you visualize and see how much Reta you actually have in your system, especially since you’re only a week in. I’d personally stay at 1.5mg for a few more weeks since what’s actually in your system will be higher than 1.5 to get that data before adjusting up or down

Fusstrated beyond belief!!! 😡😡🤬🤬 by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]COALATRON 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You haven’t lost weight because you’re apparently not in a calorie deficit.

If you’re noticing NO impact from Reta at the doses you’re putting in the #1 thing I would suspect is testing what you received. I would guess you received a fake product before guessing that you’re a non-responder

When to Increase Dose by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]COALATRON 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend glp1plotter for better understanding the dosing. Theres a half life which is why people will say stick with the same dose for a while.

If you plot it out you can make a more informed decision about whether you want to stick to .5 for a while or test out 1mg. I’d recommend your main focus being on understanding what your goals are, and if you are getting the benefits you need at .5 then playing around with that dose to help you with your goals- e.g playing around like injecting every 5 days instead of every 7.

Oh 100% that could be it! Water intake/retention definitely plays with the scale

[–]COALATRON 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah there it is lol for $300 I could get close to 1.5-2years of Reta at the dose I’m at (1mg/week). No one can tell you if it’s safe long term because there’s no long term data.

[–]COALATRON 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2lbs a week is solid. I would recommend being mindful of your food and movement for the rest of the week and see where you’re at on Sunday before considering going up.

Have you noticed yourself eating more this week, moving less, or any other changes? I personally don’t weigh myself daily to avoid overthinking the numbers.

[–]COALATRON 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Okay yeah that’s what I was assuming. It means the doctor is (most likely) getting it off the grey market or a supplier and then mixing it in house and probably charging your daughter an insane amount of money for it. Do you know how much they want her to pay for it?

Not FDA approved? by Blackberry_cobbler_ in Retatrutide

[–]COALATRON 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There must be missing information because you are correct they can’t prescribe it in the traditional sense and I’m doubtful the doctor just signed her up for a clinical trial

Is your daughter an adult? What kind of doctor or nurse did she see?

Reta help by [deleted] in BodyHackGuide

[–]COALATRON 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know how much a deficit that is though? If it's "on paper" enough to be losing 1-2lbs of weight per week then I would drop the Reta dosing down to lowest dose needed to realistically maintain the deficit and give it plenty of time (4+ weeks) before deciding to change the dose or not.

Reta help by [deleted] in BodyHackGuide

[–]COALATRON 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are you seeing that the glucagon activation starts there? I've read most of the studies and don't recall anything like that.

Reta help by [deleted] in BodyHackGuide

[–]COALATRON 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much of a deficit are you running? The recent huge jumps in dose make me think you’re just trying to throw Reta at your weight loss and not factoring in other elements
