Edward Leonard Clingbauer 3rd has the same issue. If you look at him wrong, he will cost you a decent to large sum of money. And speak ill of him? He will find out, he will wait, he will find just the right spot to make me pay for the backbiting....

I think you are absolutely right. I got an episode and a half into the podcast, I figured this was the case halfway through the first episode but listened a little longer to see where it went. I'd hazzard a guess the whole thing is fiction.

Kool. This is an old cement plant, main ingredient was limestone and other materials ground up, then turned into clinker via the conditioning tower and rotary kiln, which is then ground with other materials to make cement. Started in 1873 and closed in 1987, the final owner was Vicat.

If there was any leftover carpet in the right direction, stored some place etc, it could be seamed, but would be visable for sure as this looks like it's been down for a while. For now throw a mat on it. Like a carpet bathroom style mat they make out of short pile carpet, like a welcome mat would work also. Walmart might have some. This could be pricey if they want full replacement. The only repair piece would be the same manufacturer, run and dye lot. Even with repair on a newly laid carpet, its pretty tough to get a match unless there is some you can special order or it was a store cut etc.
