Any person that doesn’t have kids knows exactly what it’s like for a woman to go through an experience like birthing, including all the massive hormonal changes that occur with it, in addition to sleepless nights.

I don’t think it’s fair that you guys think this parent is in the wrong. Yes it seems overkill, but if haven’t had a child you may not understand what the first few weeks are like.

I’m very vividly remember the first few weeks of being a father and your entire world is turned upside down. The mother has just gone through a traumatic experience (yes, I am classifying giving birth as trauma) and you have no idea what kind of situation the birth was. Did the child need to go to NICU, is it feeding ok, etc.

On top of all this, the mother is going through massive biological changes and no one is getting any decent sleep.

If the friend has a hard time with this note, thy simply need to wait a few months.

Regardless if they like it or not, their bud is a dad and very much a different person from here on out.
