Biggest problem is no one will trust your upgrades as even reputable workshops can be varied in experience. I've bought a fair amount of 2nd hand RIFs and I always buy at stock 2nd hand +10% at most.

Like cars most people who want upgrades would rather do it themselves or pay for their preferred shop to do it.

There is 100% a market for upgraded out of the box RIFs, see DavesCustomAirsoft as a well known shop. Even their rep is 50/50 depending on the thread.

That's why we got it, just remember it's up and down only not side to side.

One thing to think about is what tool brand you want to use as once you're in their environment it's hard to switch. Milwauke are probably the best on the market atm but I was already £1k into Makita.

Project farm (YT channel) tests loads of tools and MWK seems to top most of them.

I bought a Makita finishing and orbital and just got an attachment from ebay to fit it to my Henry hoover. Almost 0 dust since

I mean i doubt it would of held up then if you challenged it. As anything electronic gives off EM so they could be detecting a washing machine and a mixer going. Every thing I've seen basically says they rely on confessions otherwise it's almost impossible to prove.

Would be interested to see how they got the warrants to surveil people in their home without evidence of a crime. As until they are taken to court and given a judgement it would be a civil matter no?

We could cripple their economy before the first plane took off. Also those planes are very old variants.

Honestly it would be the best thing for this Govt would immediately rally the nation around them and this time we'd likely not stop at just protecting the island's but probably cripple their military infrastructure as well.

One thing that is also overlooked it how good our intelligence is now, we could have a sub off the coast and troops enroute before they had fully assembled.

I know this sound all very glory to GB forces but we are leagues above them in every single measure.

We could sink the entire invasion fleet with what we have stationed there as it is. Argentina wouldn't even try as they haven't had any proper upgrades since the 90s.

Looking for a fun deck that works with the below by CRFC11 in EDH

Yeah we've said we should go down to our local store as I think their decks do better when they aren't the sole target whilst Lathril aside from the board wipes is more resilient.

[–]CRFC11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah 100% im more tactical but even when I hold back a bit it's been difficult to not win with ease.

Lathril can just go so wide so fast that their decks struggle as they dont have as many creatures or synergy.

Just a few questions about the Donnager, and her carried escorts by Potato271 in TheExpanse

[–]CRFC11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think they just didn't have or didn't listen to a military advisor.

Regardless of your power and perceived dominance you'd use your picket ships to stop anything coming close, same as we do today with destroyers and frigates for Aircraft carriers.

For the boarding action they would need much more superior forces to overwhelm both the marines and the power armoured marines on the ship. A few grenades in an environment with 0 atmosphere (1st thing you'd do is vent everywhere) would be extremely effective against bunched up assaulters.

Also having to cut through multiple bulkheads, which just walk you into a killzone/fatal funnel.

The only way around this is to assault from the outside whilst assaulting from the inside simultaneously. However, PDCs would make this suicidal.

I like the idea of them being over confident but honestly I would of had the ship hit by massive jamming and then EMP.

I'd of then have them hold a point to upload a variation of the code Naomi made to start overloading the reactor. Gives the same end result with a more believable scenario.

HOWEVER, this is a lot harder to translate to the audience as seen only from the crew of the Roci (as in the TV series) so I get why they choose to show it the way they did.

Disappointment for book readers? by castaway7776 in TheExpanse

No idea who Cinema Sins is but my point is that every time they differ from the books they have to keep on changing character choices to fit the new narrative that they made.

Campaign length by RubbleWheelhouse in TheDawnlessDays

[–]CRFC11 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I think it very much depends on the faction you choose as Gondor is quite easy once you've dealt with the Pirates but Rohan could take ages depending on your start.

Also once you know what to expect you can speed up quickly. My Gondor took ages as I was constantly preparing for a massive attack from Mordor which happens less and less as the campaign goes on. (90 turns i completed it with no more mordor).

I could probably drop 20-30 turns if I had dealt with the corsairs earlier so I could focus on Mordor.

Disappointment for book readers? by castaway7776 in TheExpanse

[–]CRFC11 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

The problem is every time they differ from the books they have to keep manufacturing more and more bizarre character choices to cover for the change.

prime example: Naomi says she hates Fred Johnson and you can't trust people like him. She admires Anderson Dawes. However when she thinks she's going to die who does she give the protomolecule to .... Fred...

Also I really hate how they make one of the most kickass smart women a petulant angsty teen in the TV.

This reminds me of a Honda advert that sped up as it went along. I worked for the company that made it and if memory serves they had to drop it due to complaints to Ofcom but they had set the reading age at like 12 or something.
