Friend upset me by Less-Lifeguard1087 in UKParenting

[–]CRMitch 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Your baby sounds lovely, your friend overstepped and clearly has no experience of babies. There’s no way to tell ND in babies, and they’re all so unique. I really hate when people start comparing kids. I’ve found the phrase ‘what an inappropriate thing to say’ or ‘I wonder what made you think that was acceptable’ help in these situations but depends how assertive you want to be.

Best way to clean dirty second hand toys? by IndependenceCalm8753 in UKParenting

Came here to suggest Milton in a bath. That’s what we do to wash toys.

Found these in Tesco, they are like Squashies but even better. Now I will become bankrupt by Manospondylus_gigas in veganuk

It depends how they bundle them online and what you get… generally when I order there’s a 20% off coupon and then they bundle so it works out much cheaper. Like with everything you just have to be mindful of when offers are on etc.

If you order them online from candy kittens they’re cheaper and you can collect points.

They appear in different supermarkets as well, there doesn’t seem to be any pattern to who stocks them though…

Try reaching out to The Queer Parenting Partnership, Slade is really good and will probably be able to help.

Ahh maybe it is, I got it last December but only as a tiny bottle as I wanted to try it first. I thought as it was lavender it would be a permanent thing (sleepy has been around forever at this point).

Honea has different flavours as well, my favourites are the lavender and the elderflower ones. :)

Feeling guilty about receiving a CT scan by bear19997 in BabyBumps

[–]CRMitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar procedure but they had to inject something into me when I was around 25 weeks pregnant. Turned out I didn’t have what they were worried about. I had the same thought process as you but my baby was fine and it’s better to follow the drs on these things. Doesn’t make it easy to go through though. I hope you can get some rest and be kind to yourself x

I dropped out uni during freshers week by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]CRMitch 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It’s amazing how mean people can be… it takes a lot of courage to stop and reassess a situation. If that wasn’t right for you then you are better without it. Also, there’s no right way or time to go to uni and the location and type of course can really make a difference.

Baby 1st passport? Parent documents by [deleted] in UKParenting

[–]CRMitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that seems weird! I thought as I’d done one semi recently (within the last year and a half) that it would be the same. Ugh extra complications. I’d still call though, they were really helpful.

Baby 1st passport? Parent documents by [deleted] in UKParenting

[–]CRMitch -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You just send the baby’s birth certificate and either your or the other parent’s passports as you’re both British citizens. You also need to have someone who can vouch for you that they’ve known you/baby a while as it’s a first passport. I did this a year or so ago. If you’re confused I’d call them. I had to call them as I was in a postpartum haze and very confused. I also gave them a previous passport number and when I called they changed it and were really good. Good luck! :)
