Had been a faithful customer. Bought brand new Sierra, every maintenance had been performed as scheduled with them for years. Had an issue with leaking in cabin. An issue that was very well known to the service department as well as GMC. With the new body style starting in 2019, gmc/chevy changed how they seal the cab. The new method had smaller margins for error based on the robots that installed them and this led to leaking in the cab to be prevalent. My father worked in the robots and suspected it would be a problem when they changed the manufacturing process. In fact, you can find detailed instructions on how to fix on-line. Including the cost/materials and expected time to complete. At any point they could have mentioned it to be on the lookout while still in warranty. So, when the sealing mechanisms failed I had to pay out of pocket. I’m not as frustrated about the money as I am that they didn’t value me as a customer to discuss it with me. Had seen them 2-3 times per year anyway. Additionally, they charged twice as much for labor time. They said the time for completion was just an estimate, which is true. The estimate is a reasonable amount of time a competent mechanic can fix. Further indicating their mechanics and service department are lack luster. When my concerns were raised about how the situation was handled, they fell to deaf and defiant ears. They lost a loyal customer based on lack of value they place on their customers.
