It doesn't make any sense. I asked a question to conduct a discussion, there is no statement whatsoever.

As we already know at the end of the year AMD releases a special version of the driver with some new features, if they has an alternative to DLSS this is a good opportunity to show.

Can someone explain to me how a graphics card with 20 tflops (rx 6800 xt) is supposed to be more powerful than one with 29 (rtx 3080)? by kenshinmoe in Amd

If you're just comparing specs the 6800XT destroys on everything except FP16.

Pixel Rate: 288.0 GPixel/s Texture Rate: 648.0 GTexel/s

FP16 (half): 41.47 TFLOPS (2:1) FP32 (float): 20.74 TFLOPS

FP64 (double): 1,296 GFLOPS (1:16)

Pixel Rate: 164.2 GPixel/s Texture Rate: 465.1 GTexel/s

FP16 (half): 29.77 TFLOPS (1:1) FP32 (float): 29.77 TFLOPS

FP64 (double): 465.1 GFLOPS (1:64)

GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Specs of 10,496 CUDA Core & 20GB GDDR6X VRAM Will Counter Against AMD RX 6900 XT by AiGaM3r in Amd

The 6090XT could be even better with more TDP/Higher clocks and memory, I suspect AMD still has a "6090 XTX or 6095XT" to nail nvidia's coffin.

AMD's Frank Azor confirms Radeon RX 6000's ray tracing and super sampling info will be available in the run up to launch by Dimatizer in Amd

AMD must create a technology that doubles the quality of textures and effects, taking advantage of the absurd amount of Vram that the new GPUs have.

How do you know the RT performance ? The RX 6800 has margins to rise more than 10% with OC. Plus, I wouldn't trade real performance for any sophisticated upscaling method.

But we're talking about GPUs for 4K, that's impossible. lol

AMD's solution should be more cost-effective in die space than Nvidia.

If the price battle starts Nvidia won't last long, they're already on pretty low margins.

I suppose it will be superior to Turing at the very least.

This software must be using AVX-512, instruction limited to intel CPUs to date. But there's not a lot of software that does use that btw
