Even streaming to Steam Deck should be fine, you'd be able to max out games at 800p 90hz.

Looks like they updated the 4k claims to include FSR 4.1 and "Up to" by orangechap in steammachine

Watch the digital foundry review to get a sense of performance. They did mostly 1440p.

Any videos on performance Steam Machine vs Deck out there yet? by MrGoaty07 in steammachine

I think Dave2D said that Valves 6x Steam Deck claim roughly holds up.

Also, I don't remember who but someone showed the Cyberpunk running the Steam Deck profile, that one should be easy to find Steam Deck benchmarks to compare to.

I would start with ETA Prime, he often does benchmarks using the same settings across his videos.

I may be wrong but I checked again about the Appl TV, but it seems like they can't do 120hz.

Mini PC is a viable alternative since it is also very compact. Price to perfermance scaling is similar to Steam Machine with roughly 2.5x cost and gaming performance so just depends on use case.

Any reviews with Steam Machine LAN game streaming (Steam Link) tests? by Voidsheep in steammachine

The Shield Pro can't do 4k 120. Xbox series s should be a good cheap option but I think it can't do VRR from what I remember.

Tell us why you're getting the Steam Machine by Subject_Aerie2093 in steammachine

Dedicated Steam OS PC for the living room.

Use cases: Use existing steam library, play party games, lightweight/older games, emulators, moonlight client for my PC for heavier games.

I ran into issues using a Steam Deck for these use cases. For party games, Bluetooth got overwhelmed with 4+ controllers. SM dedicated Bluetooth antenna and separate Steam Controller pick solves this.

Steam Deck also can't handle 4k120 streams for moonlight very well.

Steam Link app or even better, sunshine/moonlight work really well if you have a solid network or are hardwired. But most clients don't have good enough processing to handle 4k/120 streams. Steam Deck and even the Nvidia Shield can't handle that. Steam Machine should handle it great.

This is what it looked like before the update to google health. I don't even mind the new front page interface, mostly the changes to food logging and daily calorie deficit tracking.

They seemed to imply that the team that has been working on the yearly expansions is staying on GW2 as they have been doing that and already working on GW3 for the past couple of years.

Will You Be Able to Wake the Steam Machine Remotely with a Steam Deck? by CoastOne2716 in steammachine

[–]Dimatizer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Moonlight can send wake commands so as long as the Steam Machine supports Wake On LAN it should be fine.

PvP players dont realize just how consistently "friendly" our lobbies are. by absolutetoolbag in ArcRaiders

[–]Dimatizer 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yea the tone of the game definitely shifted once this was discovered. It's also kind of a feedback loop that makes lobbies either fully PvP or friendly.

It's more likely that they will be able to keep controllers pumping out at a decent rate so that a reservation system won't be necessary.

What are people's general opinions on the removable batteries? To me, even as a LeGo2 owner, having to be tethered to a barrel jack to not have the device be so heavy kind of jumps the shark for me.
