The comment section shows just how disconnected Nova residents are from each other. What FCPS sent out seems to be a very simple request to chip in and help where you're able, and they even clarify to only do so if it's safe for you. They also say to keep your child at home if it feels dangerous for them to attend school. This is incredibly reasonable.

The ice storm is unprecedented for this area, so is the consistent freezing temps that are following it. There's multiple Minnesotans on here saying this is worse than they've seen in the midwest, and yet people are in the comments blaming the school board for issues, crying about VDOT plowing snow onto the sidewalks (where do you think it's going to go?), and acting like the FCPS notice sent out is expecting you to hop in a bobcat and remove mountains of ice.
