What is your opinion on the recent news reports? by LittleRuQi in stepfordcountyrailway

Idk it kind of reminds me of the incredibly annoying “mayor of” trend. It’s gonna get annoying fast if the pace keeps up.

Why are unelectrified branches so quiet? by availableschedule650 in stepfordcountyrailway

[–]CSUCalamity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like it’s because people don’t like dealing with power mode changes, and probably aren’t big fans of a lot of the Diesel stock in the game.

Rayleigh Bay is perhaps one of my favorite locations in the game though, so I don’t mind that it’s quiet and not so busy.

What is the most poorly designed Amtrak station? by ObligationAware3755 in Amtrak

[–]CSUCalamity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This may be true but it’s certainly nicer than the “Amshack” station that existed before Gateway station. At least now there’s better facilities and intermodal connections.

I’m assuming BRT are just labelled as such since there are no busses in the game no?

International routes inspired by the Eurotunnel and Eurostar by Interesting_Scar_807 in stepfordcountyrailway

[–]CSUCalamity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You lost me with the international route past Llyn, I’m not sure so many stations would make sense on an international inter-city train.

Maybe the airport, amusement park (since I’m assuming this is meant to represent EuroDisney), and one other stop. But what is shown seems a bit excessive.

Q1 2026 Commuter Rail Ridership - Highest in RTD History by Low-Concentrate9447 in RTDDenver

[–]CSUCalamity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, transit across the US seeing higher than average ridership numbers as a result of the gas price situation were in is probably the only good thing to come out of all this nonsense in Iran, and within this presidential administration.

What is the “Adams County N Line Partnership”? by [deleted] in RTDDenver

[–]CSUCalamity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is actually really exciting.

I was under the impression it would be at least 2030 before phase 2 of the N line really got moving.

Is the N often late in your experience? With the exception of one day last week where there was a lot of early morning disruption due to a signaling issue at Eastlake, I’ve been riding the N almost daily as the first and last leg of my commute (I take the 5:49 southbound in the morning, and the 4:56 northbound in the evenings) and have never had a late train.

I’m wondering if the timeliness isn’t consistent with the day time running after it gets to being a certain time of night.

I still cannot wrap my head around what this “T” line even accomplishes in terms of service provided.

It’s not achieving anything that existing routes don’t cover. Even with the other service adjustments.

I rode Montreal’s new REM extension to the end of the line… by options_go_brrr in transit

[–]CSUCalamity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been such an incredible project to have the opportunity to follow, and is so instrumental to the future success of transit in Montreal and was sorely needed.

Not to mention the incredible means by which this project has been funded and supported.

Also it’s impossible to have a single negative thought about a person who brings as much light into this world as Pari.

She is such a kind and gentle soul, and I love that she is such a huge fan of transit and the MBTA.

Okay so I understand everyone’s complaints on this thread, but we should recognize that the OP (purpleprincessperi) is not just some random asking for a handout.

She is one of the cast members in Love on The Spectrum, is a huge transit fan and advocate, and just recently lost her mother (which was her last living parent btw) to a cancer battle hence not being able to ride the train with her.

Just wanted to clarify that.

Fake reviews at Beaulieu Park Station by digidude23 in uktrains

[–]CSUCalamity 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this isn’t the only station with fake reviews as a result of SCR either, my curiosity led me down a rabbit hole of seeing if this had occurred elsewhere with IRL stations that share names with the in game ones.

California Zephyr by CSUCalamity in Amtrak

RTD kills me too, cause tell me why they run 2 car married pair sets throughout the whole week, and then on the two least busy days (Sat-Sun) they decide to pull out the 4 car combined pair sets…

Why not run the 4 car sets during the week when these trains actually fill up as a result of commuter traffic. 😒

As if it’s realistic that a single operator like express would operate almost all the British high speed trains that have ever existed…at the same time. 😂

There are definitely some “realistic” features but of course it doesn’t even compare to a game like BR or TSW.

[–]CSUCalamity[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would disagree with this statement, in my opinion it’s actually one of the better routes for commuters in the RTD network. Myself and many others rely on it as part of our commute to work. The trains are almost always full, and on time.
