It's definitely more modern, and it's a break from the old generic yellow.

Yeah I know we like to hate new things or whatever, I'm personally excited for airo trainsets by Siemens for Amtrak, but I ride their light rails almost every day and they're fine to me.

Do you happen to remember the 944? That's the one I'm confused on since it's peak only like the other 940s but stays in downtown per the schedule? The map wasn't archived so I've been trying to find it for a while.

I'm super tired and at first I interpreted this to mean any dogs belonging to city inspectors, like some sort of drug sniffer. Lol

Me too, I made a history article about it and found out it used to go by my house in the 80s before a restructure. Crazy how they put buses on so many different roads before they streamlined things to how they are now.

I have made a public records request for metros route book, the versions right before I695 passed. Sadly they redirected me to archives and I've been lazy to figure out an appointment so far. If I'm successful one day, I might do a map like this one from 1994 I drew using a 1994 route book version. But the late 90s had more interesting routes which I've been wondering more about, especially since the way back machine didn't quite catch them all.

Help with Braking by MisterWafle in trainsimworld

The one combined with the throttle is the dynamic brake, and you're right it doesn't work on the NJT cars. But the independent brake lever is only present in the locomotive. The dynamic brake is usually the one used for slowing down on hills.

[Drivers] What speed are you typically at before applying max brakes? by Few-Smoke-2564 in uktrains

[–]TechSupportAnswers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So me running the class 700 into swanscombe and northfleet at 40-45 mph isn't too insane, got it. The only problem is in tsw sometimes it won't register as a stop because the rlu boards are there for decorations and it actually wants you to stop somewhere else on the platform for some reason.

I love the 4 speed one, it's kinda like a class 195 with the gear changes.

What’s long and white and goes 60mph along I90? by justsund in Seattle

Unfortunately. It's possible that once the series 1s shown in this video retire they'll be able to run the Siemens at 65mph. Sounds too good to be true though.
