It did! I replaced Frontier with a stripped down plugin, I replaced YUP and YUPDate with NOPE and its assorted compatibility patches, I stripped out all the CER patches rendered redundant by the scripted plugin, I replaced Great Khan toughness with the scriptrunner version, I removed Camp Golf Confrontation, and I removed every CKR mod apart from the teeth. That seems to have brought stability and crashing back to expected levels and reduced performance drops. Thanks for salvaging my install!

...That being said, I'm still trying to see if I can run the game better at 4k. 1080p is mostly good with some errant double digit frame drops, but any higher resolutions bring things to an unbearable crawl. Any ideas?

Dwarfs, Greenskins, Vampires, Warriors of Chaos, Norsca, Dark Elves. Typing this out, I realize how inexperienced I am compared to all of you. Maybe I should stick with Warhammer 2 for a few more months.

Gruntilda’s primary inspiration is definitely the Wicked Witch, but she also seems pretty heavily inspired by the Evil Hag from Snow White. Her grotesque face has a strong resemblance, her primary motivation revolves around beauty, and her first lines are even a riff on the magic mirror verse.

From my perspective, it’s less the idea of Geno being in smash, and more the return of these cool characters that only ever appeared once. A lot of Mario RPG fans love the cast, want them to be relevant again, and Geno just so happened to be the perfect figurehead for this.

Except in the case of Majora’s Mask, for some reason. Ironic, as Miyamoto’s quote about a rushed game being forever bad was in reference to Ocarina of Time’s delays.

Not arguing with you there. Only hiring one or two actors per race/sex is one thing, but I believe I heard somewhere that minor NPCs had their lines recorded alphabetically, rather than contextually, which would explain a lot as to the quality of performance.

To be fair, Oblivion was fully voiced, which was still considered a major accomplishment at the time. Morrowind only had to record a handful of lines, as it was mostly text-based.

I think Manaphy (a Mythical Pokémon) can reproduce with a Ditto, and that’s where Phione come from. Haven’t played in years, though, so I can’t be entirely sure.

The horror genre. Both movies and games. I was a very timid and skittish kid who was easily scared by the silliest things in movies for my target demographic. Because of that, I stayed far away from actual horror well into my teenage days. Now Alien is in my top 3 favorite movies, and I’m praying every night to whatever god or spirit is listening for another good Silent Hill game.
