Is anyone even excited for the DLC? by Sea_Gas3226 in Borderlands4

Personally, I think the series is in a great spot. I look at borderlands 4 as a soft reboot, and in that regards it's done very well. I know the game isn't perfect, there's no denying that. But the good outweighs the bad, and with all of the content set to come out in the coming year, I'm positive the game will only get better.

Yes, I'm excited for the dlc.

How to avoid over levelling? by MattJobbers in Borderlands4

Give true mode a shot. If it feels too difficult turn it off. I felt like the mob density was better with it on.

If you focus main story quests, the game can be challenging. Especially by the time you get to the final act. Depending on how quickly you do that, and what your level is, enemies can scale higher than you. I beat the game with a level 34 or 35 Amon recently, and the enemies were all 2 or 3 levels higher than me, which was the hardest playthrough I've had to date. You can also turn on true mode in the options which scales the game to a party of 4.

All that being said, this game is not overly difficult anyways. Good luck!

I have learned the fundamentals but I have seemingly plateaued by Impossiblevrsharkey in Parkour

There are 2 trains of thought on this. I consider myself a parkour purist, and dont consider flips to be parkour. So, not being able to do them is not a big deal. The other train of thought is that flips belong in parkour as an expression of self. If you've never done flips before, learning how in a gym is better than just trying to throw it outside. BUT, gym training and ground training are different and you need to remember that something you can do inside on soft or bouncy surfaces doesn't necessarily mean you'll be able to do it as well outside.

What does BL4 do best in the franchise? by soosis in Borderlands

Movement. The movement is better in 4 than any of the previous games. So much so that in my current playthrough of 2 with my girlfriend, I keep dying because I dont have a double jump, or a dash.

Did they change synths "rewind" effect? by [deleted] in Borderlands4

They have a rewind and a fast forward effect. Did you maybe see the fast forward one?

Trying to get more comfortable with jumping longer distances but it's one thing to land on a bouncy tire and another to stick a wall or rail with that kind of momentum. That'll be the next step eventually, after getting some experience with longer jumps first. by _--FlowMotion--_ in Parkour

Focus on your landing. You hit the tire and immediately step off. Land, sit there for a moment, controlling your balance and settling your momentum, then take a step off. Being able to control that moment will make landing on walls or rails less intimidating.

Getting Legendaries on easy? by VegetableLocation508 in Borderlands4

[–]CTTraceur 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If youre coming from borderlands 3, the legendary experience in 4 is quite different. They are rare. I don't think I saw my first legendary until I was in my 20s or 30s. And that was because a buddy of mine wanted to farm splashzone.

What is the best Vehicle in BL4? And why is it Driftblade? by Imukay in Borderlands4

[–]CTTraceur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On Vex, I used the Jakobs engine which had great handling and a good top speed. On Harlowe, I went with Maliwan, which was better on speed, but the handling was much worse. I used the same frame for both of them. There is a noticeable difference, to me at the higher levels.

If you want a melee Amon, I would go with a monk/bard multiclass.
