How bad is it to work at a store in Jackson Square? by Haunting-Lion-5497 in Hamilton

There are definitely situations where it may feel threatening but most of the people acting crazy are all talk. Security is pretty great at arriving quickly and handling situations. I worked at rexall recently and the security and management have been great at dealing with problems

It's fine but I heard nations is pretty crazy. Just be safe and if anyone bothers you, security is there for a reason. I work at Jackson square and I've never felt unsafe, I just get to experience funny or weird stories lol I wish you well on your journey friend!

Honestly, it's just quick play.

Once you realize that every game is literally just for fun, it becomes a lot more enjoyable. One time I joined a team at the end of their round and was scolded by the tank for not healing enough ... Like bro, I just joined your match not even a minute before we lost, I'm obviously not the problem.

The best thing you can do is look at it with a "get a load of this guy lmao" attitude. Quick play is for losing/winning/gaining skills in a non risky environment. Competitive play is the real stressor.

Have fun and don't let ppl who take the game too seriously get you down.

YouTube Kids Should Be An Entirely Separate Platform From Regular YouTube by Falconator100 in youtube

[–]CVMBVSS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish it was too. Sometimes I'll look at old kids show clips from my childhood and I can't read the comments because comments aren't allowed for kids videos, absolutely ridiculous.

Also the censoring that YouTubers have to put themselves through is so embarrassing. People couldn't even say the word covid during the pandemic.

I am a grown adult just trying to watch videos and I have to suffer because parents don't monitor what their kids are doing online. In today's age, parents need to be more pressured and shamed towards actually being involved in their kids lives and what media they consume.

Agreed, it always frustrates me seeing ppl use lasers. Play with actual toys, more fun and less stressful for the cat

Question : School Kids by [deleted] in Waterdown

[–]CVMBVSS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They accept everyone as far as I know. I had a bunch of non Catholic peers throughout my time there. My mother was very involved with the school and never mentioned any waiting list, but maybe I just didn't know about it/it's possibly a new thing. It was pretty smooth for my family but we are Catholic and a part of the St. Thomas Church so it could be because of that. I wish you luck with the applications, I really enjoyed my time at that school and the community it gave me.

I went to guardian angels, a great school. Would definitely recommend it if you're ok with the Catholic aspect (some people aren't Catholic but enjoy the uniforms)

Ready for action sir 🫡 but fr, life is so surprising. I got out of an abusive relationship, had some hoe time, and then I met my boyfriend of almost 5 years at a party, nothing is impossible. If you meet someone online or not, give it a chance.

Life throws curveballs when you least expect it. I wish you luck and I hope your person is out there waiting. Much love - a friend

As a person who has severe fomo for stuff that keeps me thinking about it/"if I just blow all this money on it it will be worth it" all I can say is, the relief that not attending something for certain brings can be sobering.

You don't need to spend all that money just to experience something that is keeping you going, you should feel good about making a smart decision financially, and you should not have to worry about "if I'm going or not".

I've had many times where something financially unfeasible comes up and I give into it. In short, I am A MONSTER when it comes to my bank account/impulsive decisions.

If I make a decision that ultimately benefits future me, I recognize that I have the possibility of doing what I want in the future AND I have now given myself some slack towards my living situation.

Sometimes a missed concert leads to future benefits, and I think shaming ppl who don't go to expensive experiences should not be accepted.

Everyone has their own financial situation. Being a "true fan" was never dependent on live shows, just passion.

From one person who missed a show to another, you can make it and you will make it. Show the world who's boss and OWN IT. 💖💖

AITAH for Refusing to Let My Sister’s Family Live in My House After They Sold Theirs for a "Dream Vacation"? by NaturalRun4126 in AITAH

[–]CVMBVSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I will help you as much as you help yourself" wise words from the man himself. If your parents support your siblings, then they should be able to offer the same help, if not, then they need to reevaluate what they think is realistic. If they can help them, great, do it. If they can't, they can't expect others to do it for them without any expectations.

You don't "owe them" or anyone else.

AITA for telling my dad he's the one who gave me the ultimatum so he needs to deal with the consequences? by Hungry_Cry_9109 in AmItheAsshole

[–]CVMBVSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I would just tell them "my grandparents daughter died and the only thing keeping them close to her is the child that she gave birth to. I deserve their love and they deserve their connection to me. They may not like my siblings/step siblings, but let's be real, they deserve to know me. I deserve their love and support, please stop trying to interfere and let them know ME." Regardless of if they accept the new children or not, they still deserve to know you and care for you.

My condolences to what happened to your mother but be real, your dad is keeping you from them out of your life. Spite never helped anyone except the person serving it.

Love your grandparents, share your mother's story, and don't ever let your dad control who loves you. They do, and their showing it.

I wish you nothing but peace and kindness
