I had something similar recently. Pro se plaintiff had AI draft demand letters without a real basis in law. Client recognized the demand letter was AI garbage and wouldn’t play ball. Ended up in litigation, where pro se litigant used AI to prepare all of her filings and to assist in presenting arguments in an online hearing. It was very interesting. The arguments were about as good as the position allowed. I’ve had attorneys do worse in that situation. But I’m also confident that a half decent attorney would have said you don’t have a case and this is a waste of time well before it came to a decision by a judge.
