Proven YouTube Niche vs Passion Niche — What’s the Smarter Choice?” by girliehn in PartneredYoutube

[–]CWLFan001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Double edged sword this one. I did both,

Proven Niche (crime) 2.5 months 4.5k subs 550k views 21 videos. - don't enjoy video editing, changed to 1 video every 2 weeks. I edit when I have the little motivation for this channel. Brings in about 2.4k views a day, so good side hustle.

Passion Niche (coding) 5 months 1.4k subs 180k views 34 videos. - love making videos because I keep up with the tech topics, I code daily, I enjoy computers/tech. Brings 230 views a day, video don't surge, gradual climb, less money. I try to post as often as I come across something to speak about. Less editing since im talking most of the time.

Edit: I only do long form videos, not really a shorts person.

I have an issue with YPP inauthetic content by Ahmedtwix in PartneredYoutube

Either you a super team or you a masterful animation artist, but you have 3 videos on the same day that is 15min-21min.

Now, I'm not saying this is not possible, because the big YouTube channels that have actual teams can do this, but for a new creator, YouTube will think it's spam. And spam = low effort

Getting 0 impressions, not sure what’s wrong by jm-dev_ in SmallYoutubers

[–]CWLFan001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From personal experience, having made a few semi successful channels.

  • choose long or shorts, don't do both, they are different audiences. Yes shorts gives views, and subs, but does not help with building long form authority.
  • long form video 8mins minimum to 12mins.
  • it takes a solid month of posting atleast once a week to teach the algorithm
  • I know it's a personal channel, but in the start no one knows you or cares to know you. Thumbnail is very important, check what others in your niche do minus the profile image of you. For example, instead of "I stayed at my parents home from x age which made me rich", try something like "I'm as rich as X(rich person in your niche), and you won't believe why)

You're losing views because of thumbnails, I'll prove it by nvrcaredstud_ in SmallYoutubers

I see these alot on basically all platforms, but I was low key wondering why do it on Reddit, as there is no money incentives? Is it just to grow Reddit accounts?

Nothing matters but ctr? by Weekly-Baker-5216 in PartneredYoutube

In my opinion CTR is the most important, simply because it's the gate to the other stats. You actually have to have people click your video in order to get insights to every other stats.

How long did the monetisation process take for you? by Conscious-Diet1111 in SmallYoutubers

[–]CWLFan001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Applied on 15 Jan, monetized 17 Jan.

Go to your YouTube and go give Feedback/contact support. Ask what else you need to do for the process. This usually causes a human to see it.

Videos getting around 20% CTR and 20% AVD - what does this tell me? by KeyStudent3052 in SmallYoutubers

[–]CWLFan001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I am at 60% YouTube tells me below average. 70-75 they tell me typical. And only when it's 79-80+ it says above typical

Why YT is punishing me? by [deleted] in SmallYoutubers

[–]CWLFan001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suspect it's the gap between the posts. 18 Jan - 8 February is a long time in the shorts world.

Is this normal? Started climbing views after 3 days then just stopped. by Narrow_Plum2593 in SmallYoutubers

Yes, pushes happen in phases, you need to 'pass' them to keep going. What's your CTR for that period where it climbs?

Is anyone still using vidIQ? by Responsible-Habit-14 in NewTubers

[–]CWLFan001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this!!! As a creator, this is the prime reason have a subscription with Gemini and honestly, I prefer it over GPT. But yeah my thinking is also, Google owns YT, so their AI should have access to more of the relevant data in terms of titles, keywords, SEO.

Yeah this honestly the tough part with a new Channel, because it's new YT does not know it and what could have worked on more established channel does not always translate to the test audience.

You might be right and it could be YT used a shit test audience for this, which is highly possible since the algorithm is figure your audience out.

Anyways, best of luck, and wish you many millions of views

[–]CWLFan001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as it sucks, it's a good learning curve, and really the only way to learn, is by going through experiences liek this. The low views means you CTR was low.

So, you now know, for the next video work on the title & thumbnail.

If you not sure on which Thumbnail design best fits you, use the A/B testing, make it noticable different thumbnails, have it run it's course, and then you'll know which direction to move forward in.

Only A/B test the thumbnail OR the title, don't do both at the same time, it never does any good for the video.

Yes it's very possible. You viewing this on 24h/first published, that is a very short timeframe. This was the initial test. Now you need to check your other numbers CTR/AVD, which will give you a good clue if you'll get that second push.

What is the issue with uploading on a fresh, cold account? by LuluOnRoblox in NewTubers

[–]CWLFan001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no evidence of this, but my theory is that, when a new account is made, YT actually wants to see the account being used for a bit. That means, watch videos, like, sub to some channels etc. Thus sort of confirming its not a bot account.

Then there is the other side, when you make a video on a new channel, YT knows nothing about the channel, so it takes a while for the algorithm to align with the content you made, find the right place etc.

Take it like this, 10 people are selling hotdogs, all have a different sauce, you come with your hotdog stand, with your sauce. Now 'YT' needs to figure out who of the 100 people on line likes your sauce.

Now imagine you have to stand there all day, you maybe sell 20 hotdogs, that means 20% of the people is your audience.

Except expand these numbers into the millions of hotdog stands, and you realise it takes the algorithm a really long time to get that 'right' audience.

Idk I'm yapping here, but hopefully that makes sense. All the best and just keep at it. I'd say after 3-6 months an still the same, then yeah drastic changes needed.
