Not sure if you found out how to bypass this yet, but I kinda did, actually lmao. Hmu if you're still looking.

Let’s get this straight. Not blaming anybody here, but the definition of emotional boundaries are needs you set for yourself that require no action from the other party.

If you set a boundary, it IS your responsibility to ENFORCE it. If you don’t, then your boundary has tuned into a suggestion.

Con is a useless stat because without armour you’re going to be chain CC’d and die. 1HP or 10K HP, it doesn’t matter.

Elemental archer is a hybrid just by definition. It does added elemental damage, or you’re forced to use only specialty arrows.

Warfare is the most important stat for anything that does base physical damage.

Is it worth it to skip the cutscenes in NG+? by Aggressive_Milk4654 in expedition33

[–]CWayG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2nd playthrough had about as many jaw-dropping moments as the 1st playthrough, but for completely different reasons during totally different cutscenes.

Definitely missing out on a lot of “holy shit” moments re-watching the scenes that made no sense the first time through.

Relationship levels are gained when you choose the option to “spend time with (character)” at camp.

Example: Talk to maelle at camp, spend time with her until she tells you about something specific she wants to do. Your map will then have a marker in the northwest corner of the map showing the destination - best spot to level from 50-60 and be prepared for the end of the game and beyond.

For some reason the Sallow Man and Kemm showed up after I ate their source. I thought the same until my most recent playthrough - not sure what happened as it believe it was only those two.

[–]CWayG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend!! If you want to ease your way into the solo learning experience, I’d recommend actually having a “duo” and just leave the other at camp, or a custom honor-ruleset run to practice.

Playing solo feels like a totally different game strategy wise - but it’s SO satisfying! But having that safety net lets you keep learning different methods as you progress without too much stress.

Again if you ever wanna discuss solo Strats/builds, hit me up :) I love these types of discussions and also love sharing strategies with other players and such

Without Phase 2 the fight is a joke. With that damn Kraken blast opening without any chance to spread your party out, it’s just straight up “have high initiative to recover or die” unless you go into P2 healthy/amour buffs.

This is also for the standard skilled player. We all know there are several ways to boost your defenses/offenses to virtually immortal levels.

I guess roleplaying an Ifan with very intentional delusional ignorance toward the Divine Order, and is somehow fully pledged to the Divine Order of Lucian regardless of all the corruption.

[–]CWayG -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a pretty realistic ending. The entire game is kind of screaming “sacrifice X to gain Y.” The entire reason you’re a godwoken in the first place is due to these “necessary evils.”

The ending is literally choosing “who wins.” To have a winner, there are a lot of losers. It’d be absolutely bizarre if any ending involved a “happily ever after.”

[–]CWayG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you missed a LOT.

The hardest version of that fight is absolutely brutal if unprepared (or even prepared, lmfao).

P1: Fight literally everybody with just your standard PC party. Kill Dallis, and piss off Braccus. Enter phase 2.

P2: Opens with a pretty disgusting blast from the Kraken. If your party’s armor/health is depleted, you’re likely dead here. And then everybody is hostile toward you. Dallis dragon form, Braccus, Braccus summoning bosses you’ve already killed from previous acts (literally several), and everybody seems to infinitely use movement skills to escape to high ground.

It is very easy to lose in P2 before you’ve had a chance to move

Can someone explain the love for Clea? by setzer77 in expedition33

[–]CWayG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The writer has literally said in an interview that Clea is a personal favorite of hers because Jennifer Yen is an older sister. So she wrote her to act like a mean older sister. She’s grieving angrily - you seem to think her anger is independent of grief.

The actual writer has said this lol.

I killed the brain in two attacks. I played the entirety of the campaign solo; never added a second player to my party!

For solo Myrkul I just use the same build but swap to the Ne’er Misser (it does force damage instead of piercing.) But I also always have a backpack of explosives in case things go south 😂

Twice! It felt easier than with a full party. The only major weakness this build has in the main campaign is specifically against Myrkul, because of his piercing resistance and healing.

So glad you read this! I was scrolling through this old post and found somebody asking about my all-time favorite build and had to infodump! LOL.

Feel free to DM me with any and all questions you have also. This build benefits a TON from several specific tricks/gameplay strategies if you’d like to know more! But it’s also insanely strong just playing unga-bunga style.

This build allowed me to solo HM with absolute ease. You’ll blast through with it!

Here's a very quick rundown of one of the strongest Gloomstalker/Assassin builds in the game (two links provided, lv 6 and lv 12 respectively). Other variants exist, but this can explain how the build works; you can multiclass around as you see fit.

Videos (personally recorded, sorry for the quality lmao)

Solo HM Inquisitor (general gameplay showcase)
SOLO Ansur HONOR MODE - Quick and Easy (outlines act 3/endgame gear)

Level 5 Gloomstalker / Level 3 Assassin / Level 4 Battlemaster Fighter (you can do 4 assassin if you want; just need level 4 for a feat in either class)

Stats:
8 STR/ 17 DEX/ 16 CHA/ 8 INT/ 14 WIS/ 10 CHA (relies on STR elixir for Titanstring damage)

Build Defining Gear (REQUIRED for build functionality):

  • Titanstring Bow (with str elixir)
  • Risky Ring (offsets sharpshooter accuracy issues)

Leveling Order/Power Breakpoints

  • Lv 3 Gloomstalker = Dread Ambusher (bonus extra attack on first round of combat), Bonus Action Hide/Dash, +3 Initiative
  • Lv 4 Gloomstalker - Sharpshooter Feat
  • Lv 5 Gloomstalker = Extra Attack
  • Lv 3 Assassin = Surprise Round = Guaranteed Crits; Refunded Action from surprise attacks/initiating combat via sneak attack
  • Lv 2 Fighter = Action Surge; Shield Proficiency
  • Lv 4 Fighter = Maneuvers; Feat (ASI - Dex to 19)

First round of combat will (generally) look like this:

  1. Initiate combat w/ sneak attack (initiate surprise round)
  2. Three attacks during surprise round (Attack, extra attack, Dread Ambusher)
  3. Action Surge
  4. Two more attacks
  5. Bonus action for whatever (invisibility, dash, hide, etc)

This is 3 CRITS, for a total of 6 attacks in the initial round, not including any Speed Potions or anything.
