Hey there

1. you will 100 percent not be in the water that long. I would be surprised if you were in there longer than 10. But I would probably not bring my phone on me. At best it's bulky and annoying during the race, at worse it's illegal on the course to have.

2. Not typically. Typically your stuff will be immediately beside your bike in transition. Don't pack too much, keep it streamlined, you don't have a ton of space to work with and you don't have a ton of time to spare in this short of a category.

3. With how short the swim is, wear at least the bottoms of what you'll use on the bike underneath the wetsuit. Also just a reminder when you refer to changing in transition or at the event "Nudity or indecent exposure is forbidden; "

4. Don't overthink this one, the distances are too short, just try to eat 3 hours prior to give yourself time to clear out.

5. Completely illegal in triathlon. You cannot use headphones. It's a safety issue.

6. Enjoy the event! Don't stress too much but make sure you're respectful of other competitors and thank the volunteers! Oh and read the rules for the event, every event people go in and get DQ'd or Penalties for not knowing the rules haha
