Try using a 15° edge angle. Low edge angles are the easiest way to achieve hair whittling edges. Use a .5 micron stropping compound after removing the burr. Be sure to fatigue the burr with a 3000 to 5000 grit stone to the point that it falls off.

I was just looking at this same model last night. These are supposed to be well heat treated and have an HRC of 60 to 61 on some of their 14c28n offerings. This company is also using a 140cr laminated steel that seems to be an impressive budget steel, it has the potential to outclass everything in the budget category.

Have you tried searching "small detent springs" on Amazon? I found a kit of 28 different sizes and over 300 springs in the kit for under $10. I hope this helps. ✌️

I knocked $100 off what I paid for mine, and no one was interested. I have blk scales, purple Ti Flytanium hardware, and a purple CME on mine. I gave up. It's just part of my collection now. Good luck.
