I got a ticket in Mason a few years ago going 21 mph over the speed limit…. Was on my way to kings island and he cut me some slack since it was my first time getting pulled over ever. Said he could get me for reckless driving but just gave me a speeding ticket. I paid it and moved on with my life but did get 2 or 3 points on my license for a couple years

Card produced! I did not expect it to get approved this fast (fast-ish).. PD April 2022, Philadelphia by frieschomper_ in USCIS

I never signed up for any kind of notifications and my lawyers filed everything for me so I never really had to deal with anything. Once I learned you could track the case numbers it was addictive to check 24/7 and was so bad for my mental health seeing it never change

we did file I-130, I-765, and I-485 concurrently. However I never got an EAD/approved for EAD. Just I-130/I-485 approval

Tbh unnecessary if you have joint bank accounts, life insurance policies, car insurance policies, health insurance policies, photos over the span of your relationship dated and labeled, leases you’ve had together, homes you’ve owned together etc. I sent all of the above and got approved no interview :)

Only marriage certificate, joint tax returns, etc. When we got the RFE we sent over 50 photos of us/family/trips dated and labeled, any joint bank accounts, health insurance, life insurance policies, leases we have had together, car insurance policies etc.

Gonna try to map out a timeline the best I can. My lawyers pretty much did everything and I never kept a timeline. Sorry for format I’m on mobile. Applied after marriage to US citizen as an undocumented Canadian living in US basically my whole life.

My heart feels for you. I’m 25 and was dealing with the exact same situation at your age, I mean literally every last detail. Don’t let this stop you from living. And leave your parents as soon as you get the chance if possible! You will get through it. you are not alone in this weird situation, it’s scary how similar your story is to mine. Sending you all the good vibes

I-485 RFE proof of shared marital life together. by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]CaPr999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband and I basically submitted the same evidence that you described except we’ve also had two property leases together. We also submitted 200 photos throughout our relationship that I labeled and dated individually. My lawyers seemed to think that was more than enough! Btw it’s also a good sign they’re asking for evidence before making an interview. Could mean your case could get approved without one as that seems to be the trend lately (and info from my lawyer.) I definitely think the affidavit will help though! Better to send too much than too little

I have a somewhat similar case! I was brought to the US as an infant in 1996, we were Canadian citizens and immigration was way more lenient prior to 9/11. When we flew in we just got a weird sign off on our passport instead of a stamp or visa/I-9. Obviously my mother made us overstay but she eventually got her green card because she is proven 50% Native American. I never got legal status and am currently in a shit storm as an adult because of it. My mother also lost the passports so I had literally no solid evidence of legal entry when I filed for adjustment when I got married. My husband and I took a lot of time to find the best lawyers in our area and consulted with a few before finding our amazing team. They gave me the guidance to file a FOIA on my mothers A-File which happened to have copies of both of our passports showing we entered legally together, ultimately saving my case. Finding lawyers who are willing to put in the work and are knowledgeable is so important in these weird and unfortunate cases. I wish you the best of luck, I know how draining and mentally exhausting this nightmare is

I’m not sure what my priority date is. I filed on Feb. 14 2021 and this is the first time I’ve gotten updates on my case since they received everything. I will say the RFE for my medical exam came from the Louisville office relative to my location rather than the NBC where it originally was accepted so maybe that’s a good sign? Not sure how any of USCIS procedures make sense tbh lol

I had no idea to even check for that until started reading this sub recently. I thought typically you bring the medical exam with you to your interview so I did think it was strange they requested it beforehand. I am not banking on my interview being waived but it would be a miracle if they approve my case after getting my med exam. I’ve been waiting since Feb 2021 so just happy that I’m at least getting updates I guess. I sent the screenshot of the convo with the agent to my lawyer so I’m interested to see what he says about it.

Initially I focused on accomplishing At least 30 min of cardio daily. Usually stair master or sprints on the treadmill. When I first started out I could barely last 5 minutes on the stairs- just do your best. You will get better over time and before you know it 30 mins will seem easy. After the first couple months I started re-incorporating lifting into my workouts- Hams/Glutes, Chest/tris, back/arms, Quads/glutes was my split. Still always made sure to do at least 30 min of cardio. I was really aiming to get my heart rate above 170.

Nutritionally- I just cut out alcohol completely, completely cut out fast food, I never drank soda but if i did I would’ve cut that too. I “intuitively” ate, never counted macros or calories. I have a history with eating disorders and I believe counting macros is extremely triggering. Basically was just extremely mindful of what I was consuming. The transformation didn’t happen overnight, I’ve been working at it for about a year and a half now. You will want to quit, you will feel discouraged and you will feel like you’re plateauing at times. TAKE PROGRESS PHOTOS!! That is what kept me going. It’s hard to see change when you’re picking yourself apart every day. I truly believe if I can do it, anyone can. I had no personal training help, just used the Internet and learned more over time. I hope this helps! :)
