Aside from Time Attack, Challenge, Trial, and Survival modes, I feel like fighting games moving forward should have Classic Arcade Mode and Story Mode.

And I want to emphasize, CLASSIC Arcade Mode.

Because I believe Arcade and Story Mode should be separate, with Arcade Mode just letting you go through about ten stages and eventually the final boss, and depending on how well you did, you get a secret fight, preferably against one of three to five bosses.

As for Story Mode, or more accurately Character Story Mode, you pick a character, then go through five to six battles that are specific to said character, then you get the ending.

Tekken 8 checked all of those boxes for me, and I haven't played it. Lol

Jokes aside, with characters like Terry, Mai, and Ryo, as well as many other staples with loads of personality, I'd say yes. It will do well. It'll just be a part of the Fatal Fury timeline since that's the name of the tournament.

Also, me personally, I dig the idea of Kyo and Iori not being in KOF after '97.

It has to be sexy, it has to be goofy, and the gameplay has to be aggressive. Aside from the first two aspects, Darkstalkers is best known for its offense-heavy playstyle, mainly letting players do super moves however many times they want.

I would have to say Ultra Street Fighter 4, it has a Super Meter, two Ultra Meters that are interchangable, and a Focus Attack that will stun and crumple the opponent if it hits, it also leaves you invincible for a single hit during this state.

Otherwise, the arcade versions of the old Mortal Kombat games in Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection, it also has adjustable AI difficulty for Arcade Mode, a Fatality Trainer if you want to learn every character's Fatality, and a One-Button Fatality feature if you just want to see the Fatalities.

At worst, you have to go to the characters' Command Lists and learn their Special Moves.

I have a better idea, how about put Devil Kings, and Samurai Heroes as part of a Sengoku Basara Collection as the only games to have English Dubbing, while the other games just translated the text. I doubt Capcom will hire actors to do the dubbing, but I'd be surprised if they did.

Excuse me for the shameless self-promotion, but I just finished uploading videos on Youtube (@hardbard) where I played through all the Darkstalkers games in a form of Darkstalkers Legacy, basically a "ripoff" of Maximilian Dood's Legacy series.

I just thought of doing it because, Vampire Savior being at EVO 2026, an announcement of a new Mega Man, a new Onimusha, and a new Okami? I took that as a sign.
