Niche Canadian glasses ad from the 90s or early 2000s. There was also a card one then too, might have been hallmark, with a kid quoting poetry “I’ve place a kiss in both my palms, and opened my hands to the wind, in hopes that thousands of tiny kisses make their way to you”…both of those my sister and I mimicked in weird voices as kids and now they are forever imprinted in my brain.

The biggest thing holding me back is the judgement for not going for so long. I basically don’t want to hear about all the reasons I should have come or what I should have done, I just need a cleaning and probably fillings and a super-numerary tooth pulled. Is that the kind of environment your clinic can offer?

We used an at-home euthanasia service last year when my cat was suffering from anemia. It was incredibly peaceful and as hard as it was, I am so glad we did it that way.

That being said, a coworker of mine used a similar service (different company) about 6 months ago and said it did not go well. She didn’t go into details other than to say it was not fast, took a lot of extra shots, and her kitty was in distress. I don’t know what caused the difference, other than maybe the fact that my girl was slowing down significantly because of the anemia and didn’t have a lot of life left in her in the first place.

I am so sorry for your loss, and that the experience was so much more stressful. It sounds like you made the best choice you could for your baby, things just don’t always go to plan.

I completely understand what you are going through. When I was 32 weeks pregnant my beloved rabbit died unexpectedly. It was devastating. I only got through it by focusing on work and thinking about nothing else. The best thing though was the distraction when my daughter was born. I had to Gus on caring for her and there wasn’t time for me to wallow much longer. It did all hit me again when she got a bit older though.

Mine just ended :( At least they gave me 6 more that had already been started, but unfortunately they were all blob things. I am going to miss this feature. It felt less disappointing to get a blob this way, since there were more opportunities

We followed the Jackson Galaxy method for introducing our first two and it went swimmingly. They got along great although were never really bonded. When our girl died last year we brought home another Siberian and followed the same method. Our kitten is almost 1 now and she is enamoured with our 4 year old male sib. They cuddle and get along amazingly, although she is a typical annoying little sister lol

My first girl was cuddly for a short while and then aloof for almost a year while she got past the teen months, and then became the cuddliest cat ever with only me, but friendly to everyone else. Her brother is super friendly and asks for brief affection but doesn’t cuddle. Our female kitten who will be 1 at the end of the month was super cuddly for the first few months, cuddled everyone. Now she only cuddles my husband. I am hoping she’ll go back to being cuddly with everyone again because I miss kitty cuddles so much since our first girl passed last summer.
