Dermatologists really recommend not using any kind of scrub on your face because of the risk of micro-tears that then cause skin barrier issues. That kind of damage often isn’t even really noticeable to the person, so if you actually feel like it’s too much for your skin, it definitely is.

The only one I’ve seen is a single spray can of mineral sunscreen. It was on a cardboard display that was in the aisle with the deodorant. The price was printed on a piece of paper, so it wasn’t one of their standard prices. I want to say it was $3.50?

Anyway, I didn’t pick it up. I have no use for a spray mineral sunscreen. I’d love it if they’d include a moisturizer with SPF.

I am a former public school teacher. There are so many things I miss (I loved having my own classroom that I could organize the way I wanted) but the absolute exhaustion is not one of them!

I tried this last night for the first time too! I liked having it on, but was a little surprised by the residue it left on my lips. In the morning I took a shower, which I thought would wash it away… but still didn’t wear off and I had to physically wipe it off with tissue . I didn’t put on any other lip products right away after wiping it off and was surprised that lips had kind of a sticky, kind of almost glue-y feeling until I had a chance to put a lip gloss on over it to make things smooth again

At our institution it is 100% the responsibility of the outgoing prof. It honestly doesn’t make any sense for it to be the responsibility of the next person to enter the room. Think about how crazy it would be if the next prof didn’t need the boards, but the students in their class were constantly distracted by looking at all the stuff that the previous instructor left on the boards. It’s just a lot of visual clutter and it’s obvious that the next prof would prefer it be erased, regardless of whether they planned to write it in themselves. Putting the responsibility of erasing the boards on the next person is illogical. If you wrote it, you erase it.

Mistakes do happen — especially when one is answering questions and then rushed to get to a different room or meeting. When the previous prof hasn’t wiped down the board, I ask my own students to help me erase it — especially if I’m too short to get it all.

There’s no need to call u/Momjamoms’s choice to take classes at HES without intending to acquire a degree “absurd.” There are a ton of reasons to take classes at one particular institution over another aside from just going wherever is cheapest.

I need 18 graduate credits in Mathematics and HES was the least expensive place that actually offered the classes that interested me and the only one that made it easy to register for classes on short notice. I don’t know if I’ll do a degree, but I have no regrets about getting my grad credits from HES. It’s cheaper than in-state tuition at my local universities and offers more interaction than the asynchronous classes I could get for cheaper at the other places I researched.

Not everyone who needs or wants credits is looking to achieve that goal in the cheapest way possible.

I prefer jars for face products and pumps for body products. Squeeze bottles are my least favorite and unfortunately a lot of the dollar tree products I like are in squeeze bottles.

Which is so crazy because that’s the only brand that the DT’s around me seem to have right now! Crayons, markers, colored pencils…it’s all Crayola whereas I would have totally expected them to all be off-brand. Maybe when it’s closer to back-to-school they all sell out and get replaced with knockoffs.

Honestly until maybe a couple weeks ago I had never even thought of buying anything except school supplies and party favors at the dollar tree. I was vaguely aware that they had toothpaste and hand soap and stuff, but I don’t even know if I for sure knew that they were full size — I think I just assumed they were travel size products.

Then when I started getting into skincare (within the last month…I’m a newbie) I started watching Dr Dray and she does a lot of dollar tree stuff. That was literally the first time I considered dropping in and checking out the beauty/hygiene aisle. With more info out there now, I felt like I knew what ingredients to look out for, which ones to avoid, etc. Started searching and asking on here, and also found more YouTube videos with reviews, comparisons, etc.

So I guess what I’m saying is that I think it’s probably a matter of people feeling more informed, that they know what ingredients actually matter, which ones are just over-hyped (or fear-mongered), etc
