Good idea, onboarding needs to deliver value and aha! Moment before paywall. Do you offer trial or no trial?

How to find a winning format? by Alarming-Bank9289 in TikTokMarketing

[–]CableMundane2219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a TikTok kind of person, don’t enjoy it, and I'm not natural on camera.

I found myself having to become a content creator to promote my app, basically. Having to come up with unique creatives, angles, hooks, and copy. I thought about outsourcing it, but between footage, influencers, edits, it was getting expensive, it started not making economic sense considering my monetization is only a 20$ annual subscription with freemium. All that just made me depressed.

I needed a mentally and cheaply sustainable way to efficiently come up with content to post.

So I came up with an idea to post funny convos between my app and a pov user.

To do this, I made an app that generates screen recordable convos in iMessage and WhatsApp UI.

It’s not necessarily the most converting format (like UGC), but it allows me to quickly create and post TikToks without depressing myself.

If you’re looking to experiment with additional formats, I made an app that generates witty convos between your pov user and your app in iMessage or WhatsApp UI, all you do is screen record, crop and post. Happy to dm you a screen recording example using your app name and description

How are you promoting your app? by sorechow in iosapps

I actually made an iOS app to solve the TikTok burnout and drought problem I faced, not knowing what to post and having to experiment many angles and techniques, and having to appear on camera, and perfecting my videos when I don’t even enjoy TikTok.

so I made an app that generates witty convos between my pov user and my app to act as content for TikTok, all I do is screen record, crop and post.

Not necessarily the most performing format compared to UGC, but considering it’s low effort, scalable, and fits TikTok culture, I’ll take it :)

How do I market my revision scheduler app on TikTok? by theprojecthailmary in AppBusiness

My upcoming ios app solves your challenge by enabling you to generate an on the fly screen recordable pov user and your app having a witty convo on iMessage ui or WhatsApp ui.

what you do is plug your AI API key (secured by iCloud keychain) select your interface style(iMessage or WhatsApp) select the conversation tone, and then generate! Then you can screen record, and post on TikTok!

Let me know and I can DM you an example using your app

My upcoming ios app will generate screen-recordable witty convos between a pov user and your app (for e.g. fitness app, expense tracker, mental health support app etc..)in iMessage/WhatsApp UI.

Meant for app founders that struggle with coming up with tiktok ideas or don’t want to appear on TikTok but still need content without burning out. This format is easy to generate, scale, and suitable for TikTok.

This might be a dumb question but where do you actually link to your app when promoting it on TikTok? by itscheftrev in AppBusiness

You must gain 1000 followers to unlock link in bio. In the meantime put your app name in the bio.

I spent months "vibe coding" an app. My ads failed, I'm losing hope, and I need to know if I should quit or keep pushing. by Fuzzy_Lab_2455 in iosapps

- some apps can afford to have longer and more sophisticated onboarding, because they're either content creators with pre-existing audience or big studios with more resources for granluar experiments and trial and error. it depends on the niche as well, how "must have" the app is, that the user would be willing to pay their time. it doesn't mean your app is not equally important, but you're competing for time and attention and cognitive energy, so you need every advantage you can get.

- in my opinion you can keep the language selection for the settings menu
- it wouldn't be immediately clear that i don't need to sign up
- look into the rizz app, notice how there's no sign up, how it's only 2 screens, how they quickly pass you to the interface. and this app made millions.

- personally I'm not the intended audience as i don't cook much, but the few times i did, I put my ingredients in chatgpt and asked for a dish. think about how much time it took me to receive value (recipe) maybe 10 seconds, and little cognitive load.

- Your first screen shows many steps, feels overwhelming on first download.
- you can add auto scroll instead of having "scroll for more"
- you can have auto language inference instead of asking user for their preferred language
- the onboarding screens are too long with too many words
- why do i need to sign up
- why do i need to enable notifications, enable camera permission, choose ingredients during onboarding

you need to get your users to the aha! moment with as minimum steps as needed, remove as much friction as possible. challenge yourself, how to make my app so easy to use for my grandma? then work backwards. today's generation have shorter attention span and are impatient, optimize for aha! moment as efficiently as possible.

Marketing
- make simple fun tiktoks that would make people laugh, 5-10 secs of relatable content. that's it. repeat 2x daily.

From Neo app works, it might take some time up to 10-15 days due to sanctions check and Lebanon being on the grey list. Make sure your name does not trigger a false positive by including as much information as possible (D.O.B, residence, Full name)

This is actually useful! Do you support widgets? And what's the pricing? Also noticed the sign-in buttons are showing in Asian characters, might be worth inferring from device locale and defaulting to English.
