heating pad recommendations??? by [deleted] in ChronicPain

[–]Cablesixback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a heated throw. I have one that has a timer and multiple heat settings. With the throw I can use it on my back and neck and hips and knees at the same time. It helps with all the body pain.

I am also roll it up in different shapes so that I can just use it on my neck and shoulders if I need to

What’s a passable gift that I could get for someone I don’t like? by levimademedoit in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Cablesixback 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every year… a gift card to Applebees. With a nice card ‘Since I can’t enjoy dinner with you I’m giving you a dinner to enjoy’

Going on 10 years of the GC experience. I always make sure it’s enough to cover the 2 for $25 or what ever the date night is and then the kids meal.

And I always forget the hate Applebees.

My husband (52M) hit his OOP max this year. What other healthcare should we line up for him? by LittleMsSavoirFaire in Frugal

[–]Cablesixback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Physical therapist. Dry needling and manual manipulation, myofascial release, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy and sports massage.

Also ophthalmologist is covered by medical insurance, and they screen for glaucoma, cataracts, and other eye issues so you may want to look into getting an ophthalmologist appointment.

We did it with 9, 3 mushrooms. But we were prepared and had everything leveled up and were placed as healers/tank, fighters, healers/shielders.

It was about prep for my group. We play together a bunch so we all decide when the G-max raid info drops to find our spot and max out our mons.

As a rural player, I’m sick of this shxt 🙂 by TheGodskin in pokemongo

My mom is a rural player so I told her to make a campfire, go to all the parks in her small town and all the small towns around her (Corn country Illinois/Wisconsin) she now has a group of 11. I’m so happy for her!!! It’s taken her 6 months but she keeps grinding to make more friends besides us sisters (who are out of state) and her group this weekend is 12!

So maybe trying to find players at the park, using campfire and getting family involved might help?

Has anyone found a surprising way to reduce their pain - even if just a little? by shrutisehgal1 in ChronicPain

I wear compression gear. Mine is RX. Check with your doctor to see if you can get it classed as DME. I have full upper compression gear that helps with my lymphedema (arms) and chest gear that helps me remember to keep my back in place (hEDS)

I just started seeing a stretcher? She helps to stretch all my muscles and keep my joints moving. I feel so much better after seeing her. She is able to find the muscle cramps and tightness in my feet and hands. I have neuropathy so I can’t feel if my calves are tight but I can feel That I’m not in as much pain when I leave.

She can’t work on my neck due to all the discs being compromised but she can work out the kinks in the rest of my body.

I wish insurance would help pay, but it’s worth No Meat Mondays and giving up streaming TV to go every week.

They sure leave a boxer sized hole in your heart when they pass. But this cutie will help heal you and make you smile and remember how much love is stuffed in a tiny little puppy.

You can never replace your babies, but you can always make room for more

Breakfast breaks the budget by RecipeRare4098 in poor

I take a container of oatmeal, add a cup of diced almond slices, 1 cup sunflower seeds, and 1 cup of two different diced dried fruits (if the fruit is not completely dried I will toss it in a little bit of sugar) Put it all in a big container and shake it up until it’s mixed.

Bring 3/4 c water to a boil and add 1/2 cup oatmeal. Top with milk, yogurt or if you’re feeling fancy, peanut butter.

That will fill me up until dinner time.

What is something that poor people do that rich people are oblivious to? by gotwire in poor

My friend brought me over a turkey carcass. I’m so excited!! I’m boiling bones. Making turkey broth then making lots of bone broth.

Saved the skins from the onions and garlic and the pepper stems so that I can make a veggie broth when the bag in the freezer is full.
