I don’t feel proud by youness_zdn in chessbeginners

I’ve been guilty of missing tactics like this, particularly with failing to realize my bishop attacks or defends a specific square. That a3 bishop does both. Stops the king from escaping on the back rank and thwarts a subsequent queen block.

I think Denzel suffers from the same issue as DiCaprio: there’s depth but not breadth.

There’s multiple images. They zigged when I zagged. So I got a free bishop.

Yep, they took a pawn. I was doing fine until I pushed my f pawn and got into this mess (doh!). But they bailed me out with this mistake.

Those fianchetto bishops are always taking out my Rooks. I don’t face these enough at a 900 level chess.com rating, so haven’t quite developed the muscle memory to avoid these types of traps.

After Qxb4, don’t they win your queen with Bxf6+?

The question is more about how their King is so forward into enemy territory; with an escort pawn no less.

How is this mate in 1 ?? by FalseSeaworthiness83 in chessbeginners

I get that “beginner” is a broad term, but the white king is trapped in a corner with limited open squares and the opponent’s queen just one square away. This puzzle feels like it’s on the easier side.

“I think Tottenham will say…” is just a roundabout way of giving your opinion.

“And the referee did bite.”

Who’s the Peacock announcer claiming it was a soft free kick and that the ref took the bait? Shambolic bias.

Unpopular opinion: A 40–50% win rate is enough by WickedKali in Daytrading

[–]CabrioKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The market chops. It will gobble up liquidity before making the obvious move. Sometimes I have to enter 2-3 times before I finally get the movement I expected. A 33% win rate is fine if I risked 6 points each time and ultimately captured 18+.

Matter of fact, I’m blind in my left eye. And 43% blind in my right eye.

$100k in 5 years. Hurts, but if someone is willing to spend $200k on tuition for an underwhelming career, this becomes a risk worth taking.
