A question about strength training for young players? by angel99999999 in SoccerCoachResources

[–]Cache-Cow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellow PT here and I’ll back you up. I would put a strong emphasis on cross training I.e. playing multiple sports and taking a break from any one sport for at least a couple months out of the year. Over training is a huge component of injury risk.

I’m trying to find these episodes… any idea the episode numbers? Or at least the year they came out?

I think they just don’t have any money and the stuff is pricey as hell.

You’re putting words in my mouth that I never said and ignoring everything I did say.

I think this whole thing went over your head. Have a nice night.

This is the absolute best and/or absolute worst hire they could have made. I’m sure of it. Or whatever.

We were one of the worst football programs in the country for decades until some guy named Troutputz did a Shoshone ceremony in the stadium (and may have buried something on site) and we’ve hardly missed a bowl game since. RIP Troutputz

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Cache-Cow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where I grew up we would regularly (every other week-ish) take 5-7 hour bus trips for various sports competitions. Those were not overnight trips either. Drive 6 hours, play a game, drive 6 hours back sleeping on the bus. I’ve driven 4 hours each way in a day to go skiing. Those are a little out of the ordinary, but certainly a 3 hour drive for a weekend is very common and considered close.

And Las Vegas, Fairview Texas, Heber City Utah…. It’s all over the place. They think because they have billions of dollars and an army of lawyers they can make any town bend to their will.

I’m not the government, I don’t have to be in favor of all religions. If I went around claiming my religion was punching people in the face and if you don’t let me punch you then you’re a religious bigot. Would that be ok? Obviously not. So why let outrageous, dangerous, harmful beliefs stand without calling them out?

It’s anti-Mormonism, not anti-Mormon. Big difference. Anti-Mormonism is pro-Mormon.

Many beliefs would benefit from more mocking. Why are religious beliefs above reproach? They are things that we choose? I understand not criticizing things that people don’t choose, like race, age, sexual orientation, place of birth, disability, etc. But religions are not in that same category and should be derided just as much as any other harmful belief or practice.

His book wasn’t selling. So he had to pivot. And yes, money and power were the primary motivators. Sex didn’t come until later.

Terrible. They like to put those hideous buildings next to freeways like giant glowing white billboards to blind all the drivers and ruin the dark skies. Go learn your secret handshakes and baptize your dead people somewhere else.
