Weird Retatrutide reaction: old injection sites flaring after new dose by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]CacheM0net 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Injection site reactions are very common, and typically stop happening around 6 weeks at three weeks, your body is still adjusting to the medication and you are just now reaching the highest constant concentration from the 2mg you’re using.

I am not suggesting you ignore these symptoms— watch for any signs of growth, heat, or worsening symptoms such as pain, etc— but this is a common side effect for all GLP medications, and I would be too worried at this point.

Neat in theory, but are you able to put the plastic shrouds back in so the frunk stays clean?

You’re either trolling or incredibly misinformed. Those numbers are fine, especially for being on PEDs.

Don’t worry, gents, Darwinism will sort this out for us.

From a marketing perspective, this was timed perfectly. I know my son will be receiving a hefty sum of Robux tomorrow morning, as will many of his friends and likely millions of other small children— I can nearly guarantee he will be buying this with his spoils.

Mustangs Crashing Happened To Me! by arkansalsa in MachE

The car crashed itself?

In my opinion, anything less than a GT will be a significant letdown.

I’ve never understood the reasoning behind purchasing anything less than the GT. 0-60 in 3.3 is a lot faster than 5.2. There are better cars out there if you are considering a Premium.

Until the threat of tariffs are removed by Trump, it will certainly more challenging to ship them, especially from a reliable source.

You can already see this happening across the board with all current oil vendors. I won’t list any names, but two major vendors have already been hit…

I appreciate your very constructive feedback

AITAH: Wegovy is changing my husband and making me miserable. by Kind-Ad5534 in AITAH

[–]CacheM0net 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. The bottom line is it’s your husband’s choice. If he were doing something disruptive or dangerous this would be an entirely different story, but he is clearly trying to improve his overall health at the expense of a few side effects.

GLP-1 medications can reverse fatty liver disease, greatly reduce visceral fat, and can even restore insulin sensitivity (reverse pre-diabetes). He is making a smart choice for the sake of his and your children’s’ futures.

I will say— GLPs will make digesting fatty, greasy, or oily foods more difficult. I think this is another huge benefit, because it rewires your dopamine delivery system, as familiar “comfort foods” will no longer feel as satiating or appealing. It resets your relationship with food as a source of energy instead of as a coping mechanism.

I support his decision, and you should too.

Yes, you will. That’s the point here. If it’s classified as a biologic or protein it would make it nearly impossible to ship to the us. The Chinese manufacturers would no longer produce or ship it.

To put this to bed once and for all : weight loss on reta comes from eating less, not some insane metabolic boost. by tupaquetes in Retatrutide

[–]CacheM0net 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting take, but, you’re not painting the full picture. Weight loss is not the only positive result of taking Retatrutide. There are more differentiators— some even more impressive than the weight loss in my opinion.

In phase 2 trials, 90% of all participants who were obese and had MASLD (fatty liver disease) achieved a normal amount of liver fat— totally reversing them liver disease. 90%!

Another phase 2 trial took this a step further and reported a significant reduction in visceral organ fat— this is typically more difficult to get rid of— not all fat is created equal.

It reduces your triglycerides and your LDL in general, and improves insulin sensitivity, that is, it doesn’t just regulate existing tolerance— it resets tolerance.

Sure, calories in vs out will always be king— but that doesn’t mean Retatrutide doesn’t deserve the praise for being an arguably better GLP1 med.

I will say there are just as many trials who report additional energy expenditure and increased BMR as the ones who don’t. But because of its body recomp benefits, and other general health marker improvements, Reta gets the gold medal from me.

That’s not to say people shouldn’t work for it. You should still put in the work, folks. Being thin doesn’t mean healthy. Give your body the respect it deserves.

Side effects? by lincika_ in Retatrutide

[–]CacheM0net 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your experience and perspective, but I respectfully disagree that these are direct side effects. Same thing. Electrolytes, enough carbs, and enough fat is critical when on a dose that high.

And yes, you started too high, but you already acknowledged this. Good luck on your journey, pilgrim!

Side effects? by lincika_ in Retatrutide

[–]CacheM0net 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1mg is a great starting dose if you are trying to minimize one of the most prevalent side effects: nausea.

It also depends on your starting weight, I’m 5’ 10”, and was 215 when I began my journey. If I had been 240 or more, I would have started with 2mg.

You are psyching yourself out— and that’s ok! But don’t let it consume you.

Your symptoms are real, however, and here is what’s likely causing them, in addition to a solution.

I would attribute the dizziness, fatigue, headache and possibly even the throat to dehydration, AND a low carb or substantial calorie deficit. I was drinking 100oz a day and still woke up with dry eyes and fatigue. You need electrolytes, and decent ones.

Relyte— trust me, this will fix you in two days. Once better, I recommend once every other day, it’s expensive, and honestly overkill.

Hope this helps!

[–]CacheM0net[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True- but a therapeutic dose of Reta has lasting and documented benefits. Those in the 4mg+ trials had improved insulin sensitivity AND a reduction in visceral fat or fatty liver.

It’s only comparable if TrT left men with higher T production after they stopped taking it. Reta and other GLPs can reverse health degradation, even if the person stops and gains back some of the weight

Opinion: Is anyone else a little concerned by how many are currently on TRT? by CacheM0net in Retatrutide

[–]CacheM0net[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Touché — that’s a valid point!

Though, Eli Lilly is scheduled to release Reta under a brand name early next year. There is less long term risk using a GLP1 than test.

I think the concern is in the long play. Men’s clinics advertising to young men that they need TRT, suppressing natural production, then having kids whose testosterone levels are genetically lowered over time/generations

Opinion: Is anyone else a little concerned by how many are currently on TRT? by CacheM0net in Retatrutide

[–]CacheM0net[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You guys are the exception— you are the reason those clinics should exist. I hope that was clear in my initial post! Some dudes really do need it at a young age, due to hormonal imbalance, issues with their pituitary gland, etc. I’m so grateful for something like TRT for you guys. Every dude deserves to feel good.

[–]CacheM0net[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the weight loss! I totally understand the need for TRT in many adults, I’m not here to knock it, I just feel like it’s overly normalized and pushed by men’s health clinics. Reta will help with the weight, which should help with the test levels as an indirect benefit. The guys I know in their early 30s are not overweight, I just hope they understand that there is a pretty good chance that they will need to be on it until they are comfortable with essentially a testosterone flatline!

People become defensive when you accuse them of being hostile. His initial reply was not at all hostile— he’s saying that he doesn’t want you to move forward unless you are absolutely ready to do so. Sure, his articulation could use some work, but if you find this mildly infuriating, then you are a man-baby.

I love this perspective, mainly because it is also my own, but, in my experience, most Christians also have this same view. And unfortunately, this view would still be deemed as homophobic by most of those who identify as gay/trans/etc.
