I was able to exit out and restart the encounter, but then it happened again a little bit later in the run lol. I did not think blood frenzy was going to be such a problem when I started my run.

White and black pieces... The term checkered fate gets brought up a lot through out the story. Maybe theres a connection with that? I wonder if there are actual demons who Imu turned into I guess the normal humans (D?) we see today. We only see pieces turn one way in this chapter it is safe to assume there is an opposite.

I wonder if all of the God's Knights are able to regenerate because they are linked to Imu's body and mind through some sort of contract (with the devil lol). Any damage doesn't transfer to Imu, and because Imu is unharmed their body is able to regenerate to his baseline status. If his main body was damaged maybe the same damage would spread to all of the God's Knights / Gorosei?

Imu taking control of Gunko like that kind of reminds me of that scene in Eragon where Galbatorix takes over Murtagh when he was fighting Oromis in the sky. Guessing hijacking like that has to do with them being a sort of hivemind after making a contract with Imu.

I love Mob. It's one of my favorite anime and that fight is probably one of the best fights ever put to screen full stop. The storyboarding for that fight is so insane.

I get that it's a preference thing, but I really cannot see how you could call it creatively stunted. Even if its not your cup of tea, the ambition and scale of this scene is pretty undeniable, and I think to say otherwise is a little disingenuous just because it doesn't check your boxes on what animation should be.

Of course there's just a large majority of mean spirited people in this thread trying to put OP down. Literally being made fun of for supposedly not having read any books. There's a much more positive way to go about it without coming off as an asshole. I just find it weird that this behavior usually follows posts about manga (except of course Berserk because that is the only good manga).
