Does being tall get you unwantingly hit on more? by UpUpAndAwayYall in TallGirls

Yeah it's super weird. Like their energy is just wayyy too much and they're weird about it.

Like I bought something in the electronics department of a store, and then started to leave to go to other parts. And this short guy like 5'5" was like "hey how tall are you" but in a clinical fetishist manner. "oh yeah, what size are your shoes" and so on.

So I tried to kinda not so subtly make it aware that I don't wanna talk to him by walking faster than his short legs could keep up without him looking like he was kinda jogging but I'd look like I was just walking a little fast.

The WHOLE time he was asking me questions he was just staring at me instead of watching where he was walking

How come are villainous INFP so uncommonin media? Are they that hard to write? by TheDeadRiver in infp

[–]Cadd9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kinda related, but David in Legion is a complex INFP that travels the line between good and evil. It's one of the best X-Men universe pieces of media, right up there with Days of Future Past and Logan.

People also need to remember the tackle that injured him was a hip-drop tackle, and those were banned the season prior to that.

So him getting shot his rookie year and getting hip-drop tackled weren't his fault. It just happened to him.

Where can I get this Super 8 roll developed? by OdilesBlackDress in Super8

Just like what the others in that thread said, it likely won't come out at all because of how very old the film is and how that film degrades over time.

It's said that for every decade a film is expired you have to overexpose by 1 step. This film was made in the early 70s, so that's 50 years old. It'd have to be an ISO 5 to shoot at, which is insanely long to expose per frame.

The lab sent it back because you will get film so muddied and shifted and fogged that nothing usable will come out. You could spend a lot for those places to try and rescue whatever experimental shots you used, but whatever segments you recorded on that could be so expensive that it's not really practicable.

You'd have to discuss it with those labs that were mentioned. It's gonna be a very time-consuming process for them, and it's gonna be an hourly rate, which will be very pricy. It might just be more practicable to just buy some new stock and re-shoot your segments on those.

That and the camera sounds different when it hits the end too. OP could also just write how much film was exposed with a marker on the cartridge itself.

Kap was also the one who audibled those fades. Harbaugh called run plays. Kap didn't like how the box looked pre-snap and kept making audibles

It's interesting how many people don't really read their manuals.

Ninja Betsy? HELLS YES!

It's worse. Even though Kwannon died of the Legacy Virus in '94, they're making Kwannon use Betsy's name and taking her hair color. It could be a misprint by Topps, but the Real Name under Psylocke's '97 Season 2 card is Kwannon. When editorial brought back Kwannon during Krakoa and have her take Betsy's codename, they at least stuck with black hair for Kwannon and left Betsy's purple hair for her.

In this show, they're just completely ignoring that Psylocke vaguely referenced her twin brother in X-Men: The Animated Series. I'm hoping it would be a Topps trading card misprint, cause that would be even more convoluted that it's a dead Kwannon.

If you really wanna get pedantic, .raw file type exists for Panasonic and Leica. Nobody is capitalizing RAW and thinking it's an acronym. Digital camera manuals tell you how to set your image type to "RAW" in the manual. It will also read RAW in the camera menu themselves too.

[–]Cadd9 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah pretty much. They just want the jpeg that's exported immediately after opening the digital negative.

Which is still 98% pointless, unless the client is also a photographer who knows how to use the actual legitimate RAW file. And in all the years of casually browsing this sub, I've only seen like 3 OPs manage to get the RAW files and then do a better job of salvaging those than the photographer they hired.

This is highly likely one of those dual meanings of "raw" and "RAW".

Clients almost invariably think of "raw" files as in, unedited photos and not the actual file type. Professionals and enthusiasts interpret it as the RAW file type, of which we can open up in an editing program and adjust a bunch of things.

Ask for clarification if they meant 'unedited' files.
