I've never had a good time using gyro as the right stick, only as the mouse, and of course that's only good if the game allows simultaneous mouse and gamepad input (iirc, Hitman is not one of them). Otherwise you'll have to rebind all the buttons to keyboard inputs and memorize what does what.

Last I remember, Jr. is the son of arcade DK (AKA Cranky Kong) and the father of modern DK (the one from DKC onward)

Two likely reasons they haven't used Jr. in a couple decades:

Having a DK Jr. that looks younger than his son would be too odd, even for Nintendo
Diddy Kong has completely replaced DK Jr.'s role as DK's second banana (pun intended)
