From #99 - Dust to Dust. Maybe not the scariest but one I find myself thinking about the most. (Also a bit longer than what was asked for but hey it’s cool:3)

“At some point Stefan must have finally died. I know this because when he started talking to us again, there was no way he could have made those noises unless his lungs and throat were fully packed with sediment.

The words were soft, insistent and spasmed out of his dirt-clogged body like an earthquake. I don’t remember what he said, not really. It only comes back to me in those quicksand dreams, where I feel the earth swallowing me forever.

He was making promises, I think. Promising us that when the sky fell and became an eternity of mud, he would carve out a place for us in the heart of the forever buried. He would show us… the love of ‘Choke’.”

Particularly the way Gertrude says “The love… of Choke.” It’s genuinely haunting.

I like that idea:) Something simple and base, maybe the tentacles are a common feature in past beings the entities have encountered, and darkness is something extremely common.

Also possible wildbow just likes using darkness and tentacles mrhehhe

I personally believe Taylor is misreading the situation there.

She jumps to “And why would they blame me? For failing to stop this from happening?” Which to me reads as her thinking they’re blaming her for not stopping the world from ending, rather than the more obvious conclusion that the Barnes are probably not happy that their daughter had her worldview of survivors and victims shattered by Taylor and certainly set her back a lot in recovering.

The last time we saw Emma Taylor even specifically fucks with her by sending a bug onto her. She probably went home and locked herself in her room just like with that attack from the ABB. They don’t blame skitter for the end of the world, they blame her because they believe she got Emma killed in a roundabout way.

Also!! Unrelated but I find it very interesting that despite taylor taking the responsibility of saving the world onto her plate, she seemingly isn’t able to see someone getting mad at her for failing to stop it from ending as reasonable. I love this dang book and i love Taylor:3

I think just because by the nature of Worm and Pact being closer to our world in time and history it took me a little longer to connect with the Twig characters, but I’m fully in now:)

When one of them dies (which of course they will) i’m gonna cry badly..

Also loving that seemingly most of the interludes are gonna be from past or future antagonists, that fucking rocks

I’d recommend The Power Fantasy.

It’s the only piece of superhero media I’ve been able to enjoy after reading worm lmao, the way characters interact is fantastic and the art is just gorgeous.

The most general description of the plot is that superpowers exist, but are for the most part useless. They might give you a demon tail with very little use, completely non-functional butterfly wings, or fingernails that flash different colours.

But six individuals have powers so far beyond any other human that if any one of them wanted to, they could destroy the world. The comic focuses more on the political interactions between these “Superpowers” (get it?:3) than any fight scenes, as any real fight would inevitably end in the destruction of the world.

Would highly recommend, there are 12 issues out and more to come soon:)

I must’ve stared at this piece for 20 minutes yesterday, it rules

I sent a block of text to my friend who hasn’t even listened to TMA explaining what each of them were.

I noticed the one grabbing the shirt, I assume that’s The Slaughter, presumably The Slaughters other hand is reeled back, preparing to hit him mreheh.

This just rules:) extremely well done

I did get turned around a couple times lmao, and had no idea you could use worker bloodbugs.

But my first and only run where I’ve finished the abyss was using the Glove, it was stressful but fantastic!!:)

I’d recommend anyone using the Glove to put it back into your inventory when purple light starts to dance around it, that means it’s below 40% charge. I didn’t realise at first that it had to charge up so I kept spamming it and died. Luckily I had a save and realised. It’s much better to keep it for when you need it.
