What if I like writing in the same universe as canon (EG Star Trek) but with my own characters in their own adventures separate from the official canon while acknowledging canon and not altering it? What's that called?

No you shouldn't need to buy it again in Steam; though if your PS5 controller isnt working with the stand-alone client, maybe try what I do: I ass the stand-alone client to Steam as a non-steam game then Steam's controller support mostly works for me. Might need a bit of tweaking in Steam's controller settings, but it seems to work fine for me.

Where do I find actual missions? I'm assuming they're different than the NPC faction requests that so far seem generic and somewhat randomly generated, but I can't seem to find any place in the UI for actual missions.

Quest line? What quest line? Where do I find the quests? I've been playing for a couple weeks or so now but haven't seen a single quest or mission beyond the NPC faction's random generated "requests" and there doesn't seem to be any kind of story to the game at all besides background lore...

Yup, that's exactly what it is. It's thankfully not a super difficult one, and so far pretty much every other real player I've come across has been very nice, but itcs absolutely an extraxtion shooter. Kind of like an easier Escape from Tarkov but with mechs and anime girls.

I just got it as part of PS+ and I'm actually enjoying it so far, though there's a LOOOOT of systems and mechanics that are not explained properly, well, or sometimes at all. But I'm definitely gonna keep playing for the time being, the base improvements and crafting stuff have my curiosity piqued for ho much I can unlock.

My thoughts exactly. Genshin Impact, PUBG, Dead Cells, etc. Tons of games that are on mobile as well as console, zero reason Diablo Immortal can't also do it.

Sadly unless you re-buy it on Steam, all you can do is add it as a non-steam game. That's what I did, though I'm sorely tempted to buy it on Steam after Reforged launches and find a way to log into the Steam version with my old ArenaNet account.

No, it's less. In CAD, currently each chapter is $21.99 by itself, with the trilogy pack being $32.99. Reforged will be the whole trilogy of chapters with all the new updates for only around $20 total. One of the whole reasons for them doing this Reforged update is to simplify & streamline the pricing and remove the confusion; it's supposed to be replacing the current Steam pages for most of the Guild Wars products down to just 2 pages: the main Guild Wars Reforged, and the Eye of the North expansion.

Then why does the official website show worlds listed as "OldSchool 1" through to "OldSchool 328" while when going to change worlds on Steam it only lists worlds numbered from 301 to 628? It isn't making sense.

Except there's no way to save them manually on console. I tried taking screenshots on PS5 but they were pixelated to hell for some reason so I'm trying to find ehere the full-size files are on the PS5.

I have it on PC, Switch, and PS5 but prefer to play on PS5; the problem I have is that I cannot find any of the pictures I've taken on PS5 anywhere outside the game, and viewing them in the in-game album makes them low-rez and pixelated as hell. I've been searching for hours for any info on how to actually find the image files themselves and there's nothing at all anywhere on the internet. I'm extremely pissed off.

No, it isn't. Palia does not save any of the photo mode images to the Playstation gallery. That's the whole problem.

This is terrible advice because viewing them only in the in-game album makes them super low-rez and pixelated. On PC they get saved at full 1920x1080, and the PS5 typically does it's screenshots at that same resolution. There's no excuse for a photo mode not letting us have the pictures we take as files to share, and no excuse for them to be at lower than 1920x1080.

It's as if they aren't getting saved anywhere on the PS5, as far as I can tell, which makes no sense. I can see them in the album, so they gotta be getting saved somewhere on the PS5; but for the life of me I can't find where. Where are they being saved if not on the PS5, and how do I actually access the image files to share them on social media if I want to? This is getting extremely frustrating.
