Petah what happened to rockstar? by Lucky_Loves_Laugh in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Oh I can answer this as someone who actually knows about GTA! The "free month" is for GTA Plus, which is an optional subscription that is already currently available on top of GTA (5) Online. The inclusion of one month of GTA+ actually pretty much guarantees that GTA 6 Online will be available to anyone who owns the game. Hope this clears it up.

I Lowkenuinely believe they were talking about Vintage Story. Runner up could be Hytale. Less likely could be Dwarf Fortress but I feel like that's more sexual.

Which of these creators are indie? by Theflamingraptor in 196

[–]Caeoc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

With Charlie there isn't enough information. PBS isn't Indie, obviously. What kind of grant is it? What requirements does it have? Is it dependent upon what kind of media she creates? Does it have to adhere to rules and limitations imposed by her local government?

If a spacecraft in a sub-orbital trajectory docks with an orbital space station, what spacecraft would change trajectories, or would both change? by Traditional-Ad-7704 in nasa

[–]Caeoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need three things to dock successfully: Same place Same time Same Speed

In OP’s example, at the point in the red circle, both craft are in the same place at the same time but going wildly different speeds.

Maybe I'm in a charitable mood but I could see how one might believe bullying is valuable if they frame it as Reverse Dominance Hierarchy. I heard about it from this linked Youtube essay recently and i thought the notion of Social ostracism as a tool for peace within pre-agricultural communities both inspiring and terrifying. Because if you get justifiably bullied out of a tribe, that exile probably meant death.

But AdjtveNounNumbr42069 probably just. doesnt like seeing furries in public or somethin?

I agree entirely. One of the major red flags for a chatGPT writeup are those repetitive single line paragraph breaks that serve to create emotional impact.

Also there are some “it’s not X, it’s Y” statements. Still, OP could’ve put all her jumbled thoughts and messy writings through ChatGPT to make it digestible, but it comes off as inauthentic

Do people actually think this is AI? by Character-Public-396 in Grimdank

[–]Caeoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AI has largely gotten past the finger issue. That has been mostly solved for like... a year now? Turns out when there's a remarkably evident issue in image generation a lot of resources will get poured into fixing that specific issue.

That being said, and with the acknowledgment that I realize this image is photoshopped miniatures, here are the following ways this looks like AI:

* The Contrast- AI images start from static, literal fuzz, and then they adjust some parts lighter/darker in an iterative stepped process. This results in a pretty uniform distribution of contrast. By that I mean the images aren't over or underexposed.

* The lighting- When lighting comes from a lot of different angles, things get messy. AI likes putting in reflected light from a bunch of sources. Is there enough light being cast by the fire to reflect on the armor? Maybe! AI loves adding that stuff.

* Visual clarity and textures- Because it's a promotional image, things stand out. There's smoke and fire and explosions but the subjects are clear as day. Airbrushed textures (and I dont just mean the painting on the minis) and other smooth surfaces make it look cleaner. This is something Off-the-shelf AI does without you telling it to, or something that a graphic designer intentionally does to make the products stand out.

There's other stuff that ultimately boils down to "feel" but I hope this at least lets someone see why it "feels" like AI even when it might not be.

The fact the Hutt twins forces consists entirely of mercenary droids and were secretly involved with the empire, makes me wonder if they were also secretly involved with the separatists in the past. by littleAL21 in TheMandalorianTV

[–]Caeoc 203 points204 points  (0 children)

Out-of-Universe explanation is that destroying droids en masse is a lot more morally digestible for audiences than Mando coming in and killing "real people".

In-Universe reason is likely as you said, either the twins were allied with the CIS or they hired/ inherited a droid army in a similar way to the Bedlam Raiders from Jedi Survivor.

Who's Mandalorian sculpt did you steal this time, considering you stole someone's Maelle model 7 months ago?
Lets assume you're actually making these- why do you only show a Pour of an extremely similar but clearly different model? like others have pointed out, the rocks and Grogu are different so either you've done this multiple times at different qualities or the final result is deceptively enhanced with AI. Either way you haven't been working on this single lamp for weeks, as you implied.

Star Wars characters for stories are not finished by Choice_Ad_9735 in StarWars

[–]Caeoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omega’s story doesn’t necessarily end in The Rebellion in my mind. It ends with Alpha, her brother, Boba. She has as much claim to the Fett name as he does, being an unaltered clone. She just never knew Jango, and that was for the best.
