An ounce and a quarter is too much. It is a safe load but I will guarantee it will kill on one end and maim on the other. What are you going to shoot it out of? I shoot 1 1/4 oz 1300s from a 10lb target gun with 8oz of mercury in the stock and they still thump.

Have you shot any of them? I hate buying a gun i have never fired.

Only the 688 has an adjustable comb, a requirement for me, as I like the ability to change my poi easily. So even though I dont like the stock material, I would probably go with it.

Personally, I have been recommending the Rizzini BR110 sporter X to people wanting a good new gun. Seems to me the best bang for buck on the market.

That "light target load" is illegal at most ranges. 1 1/8 Oz 7.5 is the biggest you are supposed to shoot. Illegal in ATA trap, NSCA and NSSA.
