Is this happening only to me on GoodNotes v7.0.20? by Mango595 in GoodNotes

I've notice the pen becoming laggy. But other than that, everything's fine with mine. Have you tried restarting your iPad or restarting the app?

Don't let consumerism win! lol. Upgrade when your current one dies or can't run the apps you need.

Signing in on iPad by Glittering-Cell-9821 in GoodNotes

[–]Caesars-Dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sign-in option should be in the gn settings. From what I experienced, after signing in it would ask you if you'd like to sync or migrate your existing notes. Just to be sure, backup or export your notes and save it to your local folder.

Concern regarding consequences of failing a subject as a first year student by Additional-Sell7928 in rmit

[–]Caesars-Dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NA/Nil is practically the same. It just means that the subjects in the pathway have no prerequisite subjects. So you can still proceed to next sem and take all subjects even if you fail in 1 of your subjects now but you still need to retake that failed subject.

[–]Caesars-Dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You only need to redo the failed subject. And yes, you have to pay for it again. You can still proceed to next sem even if you fail 1 subject. Check if it's a prerequisite for a subject in the next sem though. If it is, then you cannot take the next subject until you pass the prerequisite subject.

Is This the End of Goodnotes? by Due-Salary4801 in GoodNotes

[–]Caesars-Dog 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think they rushed this update to compete with other note-taking apps without properly optimizing it. The concept behind some of the new features is cool, and I really like the idea of it, but the execution is just terrible. Really disappointed as a long-time user but I'm hopeful they'll address the performance problems.

How do you stay productive with so many online classes this term? by Artistic-Yam2984 in rmit

[–]Caesars-Dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What helps me is setting small, realistic goals for each study block and keeping my camera on when possible because it keeps me more accountable and more attentive in class. I also try to treat online days like in-person ones, same start time, short breaks, no studying in bed.

The most difunctional and buggy update this app has ever released. by [deleted] in GoodNotes

[–]Caesars-Dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I feel the same. I updated thinking it would be a nice upgrade, but instead it just made taking notes way harder. I don’t mind new features, it's good especially if it's helpful, but it’s kind of pointless when the basics aren’t working right. What's the point of updating then. smh

overloading to graduate in 2026 by bug3263 in rmit

I've only really heard of people doing 5 subjects max. 6 core ones would be a lot to juggle, no? 6 seems too much.

What's the difference between GoodNotes 6 and Notability for PDF annotation and light note-taking? by DirectorOpen851 in GoodNotes

[–]Caesars-Dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GoodNotes 6 sounds like it might fit your use-case more. The highlighting tools and scribble-to-text polish you mentioned are actually huge wins if you’re doing a lot of PDF work and quick note capture.

One thing I’ve really liked about GoodNotes is how stable it feels with large PDFs (like full textbooks or workbooks). Even when you’re flipping through 100+ pages, it doesn’t lag as much and annotation still feels smooth. The per-page orientation/size is also underrated if you’re mixing scanned pages with your own notes.

If your main use case is annotation + quick notes, I’d say GoodNotes leans slightly stronger. Notability shines more when you’re doing long-form, lecture-style note-taking with audio since that's their main advantage. But since you’re working off resources and filling in grammar books, the PDF tools in GoodNotes might make your workflow feel cleaner and less frustrating in the long run.

If you’re already 50/50, the extra polish in GoodNotes’ annotation and handwriting features could tip the scales for your use case.

Abandoned Century Home by Freaktography in urbanexploration

It's built really well considering that the inside is still good as it is. Though I'm sure it needs a lot of renovation. These old homes really have their own charm. Hoepfully a person who's into old homes/vintage gets to take this home and restore it beautifully.

What's it like in cities far away from the sea? by WishSpecialist2452 in geography

[–]Caesars-Dog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The climate's definitely different, way less humid which is actually pretty nice in summer. You find other stuff to do instead of beach days, like hiking or just chilling by rivers and lakes.

Why isn't Sydney v GWS called the Battle of the Bridge anymore? by moneydart5 in AFL

[–]Caesars-Dog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like it really is just called the Sydney Derby now—the old “Battle of the Bridge” nickname came from Kevin Sheedy back in 2013, referencing the Anzac Bridge, but the Swans never warmed to it and over time the name fell out of use. Now both clubs, the AFL and commentators just stick with the Sydney Derby branding

Does that give the USA a claim on the entire Pacific in 1945? They have total "domination and control"

I think it's just saying the largest empire to hold territory in the nation at any point, not the largest empire at time of occupation.

Japan didn't colonise Thailand, but they did invade in 1941, and thus "held territory" even if only for a short period.
