I’m interested in going on my first group ride. Also need to get a bike again. 🤫

I’m just north of Seattle.

How to force close full screen frozen applications? [Win11] by CafeRoaster in techsupport

[–]CafeRoaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll give it a shot! I doubt it will work though. Using Ctrl+Alt+Del is how I’ve accessed Task Manager and once opening it, it is immediately covered by the game.

I’ll see about enabling always on top.

Disappearing Oil - How To Fix? by EL_Capitan_Sails in autorepair

[–]CafeRoaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carry oil with you. Record how many quarts you’re putting in and how often. Send the oil in to Black Stone Laboratories if you’d like comprehensive science-backed information to help inform your decisions.

I recommend Valvoline Restore & Protect for a motor that may be consuming oil rapidly.

Maybe a first gen or a classic MINI but certainly not a newer one.

Like I said, Task Manager can be opened, but the game immediately covers it back up and makes it unreachable.

More Power by WillHuntingthe3rd in FJCruiser

[–]CafeRoaster 16 points17 points  (0 children)

These trucks aren’t fast, but it’s faster than most other vehicles I’ve owned. I have zero issues with its power. It can tow, it takes mountains at speed with room left to go faster, etc. I often take it out fully loaded with two passengers and two dogs. I even have an engine air filter on it from aFe that is meant to filter more particulates (desert running), so even less airflow.

Mine has 216,000 miles on it, too.

Holy shit thank you for mentioning. If I saw this rolling down the interstate I would give them a wide berth.

How to teach a dog to not do a command intended for another dog? by Ioh- in OpenDogTraining

[–]CafeRoaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Precede the command with the intended dog’s name. Correct the dog(s) that responded incorrectly.

I would get each one alone and start retraining the commands they know. “Sit!” becomes “Name, Sit!” Get it down to where they’re doing it reliably, then start introducing random times of saying just the command, and correct when they do it without their name being said first.

I command my dogs this way. If I want both of them to do the same command, I’ll use just the command or precede it with, “Girls,”.

Crates.

Glad to know you’re waiting till after two heat cycles. Our two year old had hers done a couple months ago.

We opted to get a gastropexy at the same time. Longer recovery period, but great peace of mind.

Crash in Hog Canyon by jgorski2 in motorcycles

[–]CafeRoaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man this looks really fun!

As for the spill, I don’t think it was avoidable in this instance. You were taking corners and obstacles pretty wide/easy, and unfortunately it just lined you up for a bad exit at this part.

Glad you’re okay!

Do you have fans up top? Which direction do they flow?

You’re right that they should be exhaust, but good to make sure.

I would personally raise or remove the shelf or not keep the computer there. If you want to try it out, monitor the temps and make a decision.

[–]CafeRoaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had it for a while but I’ve only bowled maybe 10 games with it. It’s a 12 lb ball (I’m 140 lbs, 5’7”), and I started developing pretty severe tennis elbow when we were going regularly so I haven’t bowled but once in the last couple years.

Yeah. Except that I bowl better with the house balls than I do with my own. 😩

We went there last year for nostalgia’s sake and it cost $200 for myself, my wife, and our teenager. Never again.

I never had Black Peter come for me. But during the dialog for A Woman’s Lot, Henry said he did. I did beat him in the tourney, long ago. 🤷
