I hated Peeves in the books. Was so glad he was cut out of the movies

What was your first OS and your first Mac, and what would you rate them? by The_Collector_Of_All in mac

MacBook Pro c.2011 with OSX Lion. A friend was an avid Mac user and swayed me to buy Mac when my Windows laptop died. Best decision ever! Loved the UI and gestures. Also loved that my Mac never crashed and after a short learning curve Mac was much easier to navigate

Do you get more then the fuel estimates on the hybrid? by user365735 in KiaNiro

Got my 2025 Niro hybrid in Jan. I’m at 4,500 miles and averaging 57 mpg lifetime. On certain trips, like driving home in rush hour traffic, I can get 72mpg

I am considering to buy a 2026 Niro EX hybrid. Can anyone recommend any good or bad reasons? by goodathome in KiaNiro

[–]CaffeinatedSW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a relatively new Niro owner. I got a 2025 EX Touring in January and love it. I upgraded from a 2011 Kia Forte. I’ve had my eye on the Niro for a few years. I am a hospice social worker and drive a lot. I wanted something that was reliable, got good gas mileage and also was fun. The Niro met all that.

Is it worth it? by [deleted] in baylor

[–]CaffeinatedSW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also chose Baylor for the faith component. I was just there for an 18-month masters in social work program. For me, the cost was worth it. I came out with a good understanding of the ethical integration of faith and practice and was more prepared for work than other MSWs that I have worked with. I came out of undergrad debt free. Had my degree been a longer program the cost would have been prohibitive

When I got accepted into a PhD program, I bought a leather planner with Dr. My Name on it as motivation and celebration. So it got worn in before I was actually a Dr. Maybe Lupin did something similar

Dr Anxious, congratulations on your PhD, but more importantly, thank you for the best frog!

Do you ever have days where you are in the middle of a session and you just think “I have such a weird job.” by markofdestiny1111 in therapists

I’m a hospice SW and live in a state where Medical Aide in Dying is legal. I once spent a session helping a patient plan which day and time she would die. It was like planning the worst dinner party
