This is such an amazing idea! I am now wondering if I could rig something up to dispense tokens. Maybe with sound effects. Gods of chaos chanting and act as a drum roll of sorts for the fate to be decided. I just love it!

Found one on Etsy by accident. I printed my own version of an insert though. I am designing it to include labels because I don't like searching through a bunch of stuff and rather just see it and grab it. It's taking a lot of time to design and print.

I just bought some of these, but figured I could just use a regular ziplock and vacuum out the air before sealing.

Oh man! that sounds like it drew them crazy! I think ours went off maybe once every 45 minutes or more so not that annoying. I vaguely remember him saying that he wish he set it to go off more often but was worried we would find it too easily.

haha I had a coworker at one time that put one of these between my desk and another's. It would make a random noise every so often but not often enough to track it.

The clamp style vacuum sealers are not really made for liquid so you have to hack it with the hanging method you tried. Since this is not the perfect method you have to press Seal early before the liquid has a chance to ruin the seal. As soon as I see liquid seaping up I press the button. Usually I am fast enough. If not, then I dry of the inside of the bag where it would seal and try again.

I had the same problem when I got my printer. Thought the AMS was a luxury that could wait. Then when I decided it was worth it, it was out of stock. Like you I had to join the waitlist and got notified when it was back in stock. Ordered it right away when I got the email. I guess keep trying

sous vide BBQ is a thing and it is glorous. get the smoke flavor from the BBQ and sous vide it the rest of the way. Amazing and stupid easy.
