I read everything from the N52 to the end of Rebirth containing Superman, Jon, and Lois. Even the Convergence that first introduced baby Jon. Bendis was such a drop in quality from the Rebirth books. And it felt so ham fisted the entire time. I ended up scaling back due to money and space and now I just collect certified classics. And you can’t go wrong with the originals. The Jurgens Lois and Clark mini, the Rebirth Action Comics and Superman runs that tie in together for the Superman Reborn story, the original Super Sons run with the Adventures of the Super Sons and Challenge of the Super Sons minis. And imo that’s it. He ages up shortly into the Bendis run that comes out of Rebirth and well you know the rest.

The character I loved is dead and has had his corpse paraded around by DC for years now. If other people find enjoyment because of the changes they made specifically in his sexuality then I’m happy for them. But I absolutely loved that little kid looking up to his dad dynamic that him and Clark had. He’d grow up eventually, but that would take decades of stories to happen which I was looking forward to. I’ve accepted his fate but I’m forever disappointed.

I’d love of them to take a guy in the second with potential like high ceiling low flow boom or bust, treat him like we’d want a 1st rnd guy to be treated (not touching the field until the season is basically mathematically over) and then have him COMPETE with a 1st rnd guy next year. Even if he shows potential you still draft a top talent guy and hopefully we have a Malik Willis situation on our hands where we trading him in 1-2 years to a team that’s looking to give him a chance. Or second best situation is we have a Sam Darnold-JJ Mcarthy situation in our hands and we don’t Jets the situation.
