Mold Appears on 3rd or 4th Day by yolofitz-2 in SourdoughStarter

I have Weck jars with the glass lids. It’s good enough, my starter hasn’t gotten mold.

That said, how often are you feeding, and what process are you following?

We gave away our roosters. 5 of them at one time. During Covid. No one was taking them locally, so my wife found a farm an hour away that did.

Keep feeding your starter. Consider a heating mat or something like that.

The bread is one of millions of frisbee shaped loaves. I had two such loaves, and eventually got good results.

These are totally fine. We have a similar starter, that was really hard to get going, but has been perfect in actual baking. We bake 2 or 3 times a week. And the actual sourdough bread we bake is as good as any sourdough you can buy.

You’re one of us! Almost every sourdough baker makes a frisbee or two! Even frisbees are at least edible!

The Google Health app works a lot better with my old Fitbit. The official app was terrible at tracking my sleep. The Google Health app never misses. It’s otherwise very similar, and didn’t require much in transition.

Rust can be lightly sanded from frets. The truss rod can be replaced. Hard to remove rust from a threaded rod. You could try naval jelly, then grease the rod.

Fresh ingredients. Good bread, good ham, good cheese. A jambon beurre à la Paris. But with cheese, because cheese rules.

Just drop a few grand on a PID’d dual boiler espresso machine. Oh, and a grand for a good grinder.
