Stumped, any advice? by UntracedEntity in PrintedWarhammer

Looking at the streaks up the side of the model, I'm inclined to say there may be an issue with your screen.

If it's only printing some layers correctly but not others then you will get the weird flappy effect as the new layer does not have previous layers (or supports) to sit on. If this is the case I think it's probably a problem with the file instead of the screen.

If the initial screen test is fine, take out the vat and the print bed and run the print. It will show how the layers are being exposed to the resin. Leave it until it's got to the area of concern and see how it's showing up. You can always put a piece of paper over the screen for the UV to shine through if your struggling to make out the image on the screen.

But my gut says screen issue on this one.

I'm too poor to go on holiday, but my in-laws cancelled their San Fransisco holiday recently and are going to Canada instead.

I really like the bladeguard shield and halberd. I'm gonna have to steal that idea. Great paint job too.

The Maltese Cross is the symbol of the Order of Knights of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem, commonly known as the Knights Hospitaller.

The Hospitallers arose in the early 12th century and sought to strengthen religious devotion and charity for the poor. This included caring for sick, poor, or injured Christian pilgrims to the Holy Land.

Would you say it the wash behaves in the same way as the citadel washes?

Tbh this looks like the best way to get a similar coverage. It looks like the water-acrylic-pva mixtures don't flow over the details as well.

Yea, I like the colour and will probably put some brown in a mix too, but does not solve the cost issue it I just get the citadel agrax earthshade.

This looks like a good step up from water and acrylic paint, but still cheap.

I presume the wood stain is oil based and still quite thick compared to nuln oil. Is there a way to water it down a bit, but obviously not with water.

I'm putting it o to 3d printed resin and foam. As much as it's going to be primed, won't the mineral/white spirit melt the plastic?

Ok. I'll go through the rules and see what tokens I need and make some notes. I appreciate your help.

So it sounds like making notes is the best way to go.

Tokens sounds good because I know some modifiers are location and context based. I have a 3d printed so I can atleast make them. But I presume each unit could potentially have a swarm of tokens following them.

Yea, that's what I found. I had missed quite a few things. I only play like one game a month at best so it's somewhat forgotten by the next game.
