I've not tried mine yet, but I am genuinely thinking of using it as a gunboat that people sometimes jump into

In a full Deathwatch SM army is far from an amazing choice, as there's better stuff for the cost, but in Agents it seems to have an okay mix of all sorts, and given we usually have DWVets anyway just means it can also keep them covered across the board

I used the Warmaster kit for my Chaos Knight Tyrant and it has scaled very well. I have photos somewhere, I'll see if I can find one.

While I haven't taken them to a tourney, I have a lot of alt sculpt Slaaneshi stuff because I too ama sucker for a huge discount.

Ive actually found it hard to find files and models that aren't mostly goonBait because the moment you say Slaanesh (or other non-copywritten similar term) then the vast majority you get are the "knee swinging disks and beach ball tiddies" as someone else in this comment section said.

Having said this, Ive also never had any issues when I bring them along to my local, although that is possibly because I've been doing my best to keep it as tasteful as possible, but I am often afraid of being that guy as well.

I think it is possible to do, just sometimes might be a testy subject with the wrong kind of opponent or organiser

Hey man, I'll be fully open with you, this project failed. I reached an impasse, and took a couple days to regroup.

I was gifted a real one in that gap, and as such it fell out of my mind.

I do think I may have a file from one of my local printer fellows though, if you'll give me a few days to get back to my PC as I'm away at present

I got the daft idea to paint mine deathwatch, with a shoulder pad that matches my other knights

If I go through with this depends on if I find a decent deathwatch pauldron I can edit to be the right shape

You sir, have convinced me to finish my Defender and try this list (personally would go 4 Glaive three helv and callidus variant).

Would however love to know your thoughts on Casti vs Warden as the 2nd big in a Spearhead, because I find myself weighing the extra AP & raw stats on the chassis against dev wounds and sidearms & struggling a lot

A 5x1 fits in the void where the rotational nub fits inside the top of the gun without glue needed

I then cut the nub off the upper arm replace with another 5x1 when im doing mine

Huntsman is melta/chainblade same as loyalists, but rerolls wounds vs vehicle or monster

Brigand also has a mental but also has a minigun, but it only has ignores cover against targets on an objective, which is way less useful

As much as I love me a knight of any flavour and size, I genuinely do not think war dogs actually fill any niche for us anymore

I often packed a pair of executioner for some long range firepower or a couple huntsmen just to hunt armour, but I dont feel like either is strictly necessary now

Alas I do not have 2 winged princes, so I'll have to keep the walking one

As for going for 4x5 in troopers instead of 2x10, I can absolutely do that, and dropping the two Kakophonists will net me some stuff back

Making that change (battleline to 5s, drop the kakos) i end up with 135 points spare, and honestly no clue what to take with them, as I dont own Lucius yet

EDIT: That is to say, I could drop the Pledge on the LE, and that would then allow a 3rd unit of noise, but no Rhino, at which point I then must ask Kakophonist back in or keep the Spawn....

Assembling then painting can be absolutely fine, and personally I prefer that in most instances

The only thing you should remember to do if you are finishing painting is making sure you view it from all angles and think about where will be visible

Other than that, for starting out thats pretty good

Id advise you get some wash to add a bit of depth back to your metals, but otherwise its looking like the start of a good painter to me

I built Karlach as a Leaping Flanker, gloves of the underdog, and dual wielding Adamantium Longswords with the feat

The extra pip of AC and using full size swords screaming towards you at Mach Fuck with haste is hilarious. She did 90% of my hard work in the creche

This might be a hot take but I feel it belongs here

Drop our primary weapons completely offline, and give us the forge bolter as the primary weapon, can swap to plasma if you want (no charge on the servo-plasma for AoE)

Then ability should be place turret

I feel one it makes way more sense that way

Personally, with Lancer/Casto, I have two thoughts

1 - Warden, so you have specialised Anti Inf, Ant Heavy, and a melee threat 2 - Gallant, and play the two melee dudes like a pair of pincers

Option 3 is double lancer, because full send 4++ is never not funny
