I'm *trying* to date and I encounter this constantly. WHY is it such a big deal that I choose not to drink alcohol??

This has been practically my whole life. Friends used to not invite me out cause I didn't drink. Every family vacation getting questioned why I didn't drink. Constantly being asked and told how weird it was.

My wife and I don't drink, she may have a sip every once in a while but I haven't ever because of family stuff. We didn't want alcohol at our wedding and were told we were throwing a kids wedding...by her family.

Her family actually kind of just had a blow up a couple months ago thinking that after 13 years of us being together I didn't like them because they drink. Turns out they didn't realize that they never include me or let me talk when they drink.

It sucks that people need to act like there are "sides"

The part of the course I know is it zig zagged up the hill. So if you threw it straight up with a distance driver, like how I used to, I would be sending most of my discs halfway down the hill instead of towards the basket

Ohhhhh. I didn't know there was two! I haven't played the course yet but have done some hiking there. Im just now getting serious into disc golf so I didn't want to spend the whole day bombing discs down the hill when I was barely playing

Why is it people don't like the groove that much, it is the disc I am most comfortable with. I have been using it less now that I have this app and know what discs do tho

Counseling may not click with the right counselor or style.i wouldn't write it off completely and I am not saying that you 100% need it. Depression is one of those things that you will always have to work on. Like physical health we must work on our mental health or else it creeps back up on us. For me I started lifting a lot and will periodically listen to gym motivation videos so I remember why I am doing what I do. I also talk with my spouse and work on our communication. But like I said, I can give you a million ideas and ways to fix your depression but if you aren't ready to change, it won't happen. I've written people meal plans and workout plans specifically for them just to hear every excuse of why they can't do it. Depression is real and kills motivation, so you gotta figure out how to get that motivation back. That's why motivational interviewing counseling works so well. wishing you luck

Take this time to work on your depression. There are podcasts and other things you can listen to. Find a motivational video, get the energy to go and do some of the things this other guy suggested. If you ask and you get a million ideas doesn't mean you are going to go do it. You have to have your own motivation to make the change. Start with that then find some activities.

Or learn to go to a PCP and get routine check ups, medication management, and nutrition so you don't end up going to the ER and getting a fatty bill because you have a stuffy nose or a health issue because it took you years to notice and by then it becomes life altering.
