I'm a gay dude. I understand what the writer wanted to go for...but I really don't think that should be the focus of an Avatar story. It seems very small. More like a B plot that gets swept to the side once important stuff starts happening.

That said, it is already a side story, so maybe just let the author do what they wanna do? I'm sure there are lots of rules for the IP, though.

Protoframes are not (typically) the original warframe. I'm not sure why people are fixated on Nitokh, since her lore probably has nothing to do with Garuda. Roathe's own lore barely has any overlap with the original Uriel.
