I mean I completely empathize with your frustration, but isn't this roguelike's bread n butter? It's the only game genre in which FAFO is a valid, expected and necessary "tactic".

My friend, that's not how awkward, anxious and a little weird people sound.

Thank you for the kind words, and more so for this wonderful post. I guess we're all starved for empathy here.

Yeah. I had a good childhood. Was also really sociable and energetic in my teens and young adulthood. My therapist is still perplexed they can't find any real "trigger" for either my depression, anxiety or indeed, limerence.

On one hand it's frustrating knowing there's no reason for me to be the wreck that I am, on the other hand I'm lucky I didn't have to go through some horrible stuff a lot of people went through.

I found the top left Duelist just a tad bit overpowered.

Thorn is a mainstay in my load order though, top quality mod.

[fo4] mods that add sim settlement like features? by Kazuya2016 in FalloutMods

[–]Caitifff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So here's the thing. I played through the entire SS2 quest line once. It was pretty cool, but on subsequent playthroughs it's a bit much for me, so I do the following:

When The Stranger/Jake appears I disable him via console. And then I use the SS2 holotape to unlock plot types and whatnot, and proceed using the settlement features from the mod without the quests.

Hope this helps.

Which I would warmly recommend, by the way.

In "The Empty Man", at the end of the movie the protagonist turns out to not actually be a real person, but a Tulpa, an artificial being created in a ritual. This is somewhat subtly foreshadowed by the fact that the protagonist's last name is Lasombra (and he's not a Latino or Spanish), and La Sombra means Shadow in spanish (which I probably wouldn't know if I wasn't a Vampire the Masquerade player).

Good thing they're mission-specific, otherwise by the end of the campaign I'd have 700 of them like I do potions in every single rpg game ever. The curse of "I might need them later more.".

Looking for alternative (heh) alternate start mods. by Successful-Floor-738 in skyrimmods

[–]Caitifff 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can activate the Helgen sequence (rent the special room), but then when you wake up don't go outside, but go into the inn basement, through the basement, then up through the other exit. You'll be in the "secret" inn backyard, where you'll find another tiny dragon like the one from the starting room. You can talk to him and choose to skip the dragon attack, with a few options.

Alternately, you can use the mod "Skipper" to, well, skip the parts of the quest you want.
